Burberry nails!


Hoi allemaal! Vandaag heb ik voor jullie deze Burberry nail art. Deze is al door meerdere blogs gemaakt, maar omdat dit een van mijn favoriete designs is, wou ik hem toch graag aan jullie laten zien. In dit artikel kun je meer lezen over deze nagel creatie.
Hello everyone! Today I’d like to show you this Burberry nail art. This nail art design is already made by a couple of nail bloggers, but I wanted to show you guys this nail art anyway. It’s one of my favorite designs! In this article, you can read more about my Burberry nails.

 
De basis van deze nail art is een nude kleurig lakje van Rimmel London. Ik heb Nr. 367 Bare Necessities gebruikt. Daaroverheen heb ik witte en zwarte strepen aangebracht met mijn striper en als laatste de rode details. Bij deze nail art moeten de lijnen wel strak zijn, anders ziet het er al snel slordig uit. Maar als je Burberry nail art eenmaal klaar is mag het resultaat er zijn!


First I painted my nails with a basic nude color. I’ve used a polish from Rimmel London for this design called; Nr. 367 Bare Necessities. After that, I’ve made some black and white stripes with my striper. I’ve finished this Burberry nails with some red details.
In this nail art, the lines have to be very tight, otherwise it’s going to look messy. But once your nails are finished, the result of this nail art is great!
Op de dag dat ik foto’s van mijn nagels wou maken werkte het licht totaal niet mee. Normaal maak ik mijn foto’s binnen met kunstlicht maar nu het donkerder wordt, en ik nog niet veel ervaring met fotograferen heb, wordt het steeds moeilijker om scherpe foto’s te maken. Toen ik ’s middags thuis kwam dacht ik ineens; ‘waarom geen foto’s in de tuin?’ Zoals je in dit artikel ziet, blijft natuurlijk licht toch echt het mooist!
 
On the day, I took the pictures of my nails, the light didn’t cooperate at all. J  Normally, I make my pictures indoor with artificial light. But it’s getting more and more darker outside and I don’t have much experience with taking pictures. As a result it becomes difficult to take nice photos. When I got home that day, I suddenly thought, 'Why not taking pictures in my garden?’ As you can see in this article, natural light remains the best for taking beautiful pictures!
 

 

Purple Chevron Nail art

 

Hallo allemaal! Aan het begin van deze week was ik al van plan om een paarse Nail art te maken maar ik had nog niet veel inspiratie. Ik wist dus niet precies wat ik wou maken maar toen ik mijn penselen en nagellak bij elkaar zocht kwam het idee voor deze Nail art vanzelf. Zoals je ziet is deze Nail art geinspireerd op een simpele Chevron print. Na wat oefenen was ik tevreden over het resultaat van deze Nail art. In dit artikel laat ik jullie de foto’s zien en vertel ik welke lakjes ik gebruikt heb.

Hello ladies! At the beginning of this week, I was already planning to make a purple Nail art design, but I didn’t have much inspiration. After a few days I searched for my Nail art brushes and choose some polishes I wanted to use for this Design. As I started painting my nails, the Idea for this design came all Naturally. At the and I was very glad with the result of this Nail art! In this article, I’ll show you the pictures of my nails and I would like to tell something about the polishes I’ve used. :)


 

Het maken van deze Nail art kostte wat oefening; eerst heb ik mijn nagels om en om donker paars of lila gelakt. Vervolgens gebruikte ik mijn striper om de strepen op mijn nagels te zetten. De kleur van het patroon heb ik, zoals je in de plaatjes ziet, ook tegenovergesteld aan de achtergrondkleur gelakt.
Making this Nail art took me some practice, first I’ve painted my Nails in a dark purple or Light purple color. Then I used my striper to create the stripes on my nails The color of the pattern I made is,as you can see in the pictures, the opposite of the background color.

 
Ik heb voor deze Nail art 2 nagellakjes gebruikt. Van de eerste konden jullie op woensdag al een review lezen. Dit donkerpaarse lakje is van OPI en heet; Plugged-in Plum. Voor de licht paarse kleur heb ik een lak van Essence gekozen. Deze heet; Nr. 149 Hello Marshmallow!

I’ve used two polishes for this Nail art. From the first you could already read a review that I’ve posted on Wednesday. This dark purple Polish is fromOPI and is called;Plugged-in Plum. I’ve used a nail polish from essence for the Light Purple color. This polish is called, Nr. 149 Hello Marshmallow!

 
Al met al ben ik erg tevreden met het resultaat van deze Nail art. Ik combineerde deze nagels met een stoere paarse ketting en een oversized groene/blauwe trui. Hierbij waren mijn nagels een opvallend en leuk detail!

At the end, I was very satisfied with the result of this purple chevron Nails. I've combined this nail art with a dark purple necklace and my oversizedgreen sweater. My nails were a beautiful and outstanding detail in this outfit! J

Hallo allemaal, vandaag wil ik graag de kleur Plugged-in Plum van OPI voor jullie swatchen. Zoals je kunt zien is het een mooie donker paarse kleur en dus perfect voor deze herfst!
 
Hello ladies, Today I’d like to show you this beautiful purple Nail polish from OPI. This polish is called Plugged-in Plum. I love this color, and I think it’s perfect for the fall of this year!




Ik heb deze nagellak zo’n 2 jaar geleden gekregen voor een gala feest. (hij is dus al iets ouder) De kleur matchte precies met de paarse kleur in mijn gala jurk en ik heb hem die avond dan ook met veel plezier op mijn nagels gedragen! Ik vind het leuk dat achter elk van mijn lakjes een verhaal zit. Als ik dit nagellakje op heb denk ik altijd met veel plezier terug aan dit geslaagde schoolfeest. J
 

I’ve bought this purple polish for a gala party, a couple of years ago. The color matched exacly with the purple color of my dress, so I had a lot of fun wearing this polish during the party!

I like that there is a story behind every of my nail polishes. J When I wear this beautiful Purple polish again, I remember the fun I had of this party.

 
De kleur zelf vind ik ook erg mooi! Het lakje heeft een glimmende blauwe ondertoon die op de foto hierboven helaas niet goed te zien is. Maar gevolg hiervan was wel dat mijn foto’s steeds mislukten. Het word ook donkerder buiten dus het maken van scherpe foto’s kost meer tijd. Ik ben erg enthousiast over de dekking van dit OPI lakje. Een laagje van de lak is genoeg om je hele nagel te bedekken!
 
I think the color itself is also really beautiful. This purple polish has a sparkly blue shimmer that I like, but you can’t see this in my pictures L It’s getting more and more darker outside, so making clear pictures takes more time. I am very excited about the coverage of this OPI nail polish. One layer of polish is enough to cover my nails!
 
De lakjes van OPI zijn jammer genoeg wel aan de dure kant. Een nagellakje kost al snel  €14.95. Is het het waard om zoveel geld aan deze lakjes uit te geven? Ik vind van wel. De Nagellak van OPI geeft altijd een perfecte dekking en bovendien hebben ze een aantal bijzondere kleuren in hun assortiment. Waaronder ook deze paarse nagellak valt!
The Nail polishes of OPI are more expencive than just a regular polish of Catrice or L’oreal Paris. One bottle of polish from OPI costs already €14.95. Are these polishes worth spending so much money on? I think they are! The polishes from OPI cover my nails perfectly and they have a lot of special colors in their Nail polish collection.

~Review~ Essence Paper print Manicure

 
Vandaag heb ik voor jullie een review van de Paper print Nail art set van Essence. Deze bestaat uit de Transfer solution en een doosje met bedrukt kranten papier. Het idee van deze DIY Nail art set is dat je nu makkelijk thuis de Newspaper Nails kunt namaken. Op internet las ik veel negatieve reviews over de Paper Print Nails van Essence dus ik vond het de hoogste tijd om uit te proberen of deze manicure echt werkt, of dat het een flop is. In dit artikel zal ik de paper Print Nails van Essence uitproberen.
 
Today I'd like to share with you a review of the Paper print Nail art set from Essence. It contains a Transfer solution and you can also buy 4 little boxes with printed paper. The idea behind this set is that you can create the Newspaper Nails yourself at home. On other blogs, I red a lot of Negative reactions on this New DIY set from essence. So I thought it was the right time to test this Manicure myself!


First, I painted my Nails with a light green color. This one is also from Essence and is called Nr. 138 L.O.L

Essence sais that the manicure works according to these 4 steps;

1.     Apply two coats of a light Nail polish and let your nails dry properly.

2.     Cut out a piece of the paper print paper and apply transfer solution.

3.     Press paper with printed side on your Nail, and let this dry for 15 seconds.

4.     Remove the Paper and apply a coat of the transfer solution over your nails.
 

Ik besloot deze stappen precies te volgen en begon met het uitkiezen van een printje.
I decided to follow this steps exacly and started off with picking a paper print I liked.
 




Vervolgens knipte ik een stukje papier uit in de maat van mijn nagel en bracht hier de Transfer solution op aan. Dit drukte ik op mijn nagel. Toen ik het papiertje er na 15 seconden wachten vanaf haalde bleef er een klein stukje papier aan mijn nagel kleven. Toen ik de Transfer solution aanbracht zag ik wel duidelijk een printje op mijn nagels zitten maar erg mooi was het resultaat niet.
 
First, I cut out a little piece of paper inthe size of mynail and painted on the Transfer solution. After doing that, I pressed the paper print on my nail. After 15 seconds I pulled of the paper but there was a small piece of paper remaining on mynail. At the end I wasn't happy with the result at all! :(
 

Ik vroeg mezelf af of dit niet een beginnersfout was. Misschien had ik iets verkeerd gedaan? Ik besloot de Paperprint manicure nog met een ander kranten papiertje te testen. Dit kun je hieronder zien. Het patroontje zelf vind ik wel erg leuk!
Maybe I did something wrong?I decided to give the Paper Print Manicure another try. Again, I chose a Print I liked and you can see the result below.



Ik bracht ook hier een dikke laag van de Transfer solution aan en drukte dit op mijn nagel voor 15 seconden.

Here I also Painted a thick layer of the transfer solution on the paper and pressed this on my Nails for 15 seconds.


 
Het resultaat was aardig. Je zag het patroon goed op mijn nagel zitten en het zag er best mooi uit! Ik besloot de andere printjes ook uit te proberen want het was een regenachtige dag en ik had verder toch niks te doen.

This result was also nice. But it wasn't beautiful at all. You saw the pattern on my nail but I decided to try the otherdesigns as well, because it was a rainy day and I got nothing to do.
De laatste printjes stelde me echter wel teleur. De papiertjes bleven niet op mijn nagels zitten, en er was geen motiefje te bekennen. Ik besloot de printjes in aceton te leggen voor ong. 10 seconden zoals je ook bij de originele kranten Nail art hoort te doen. Er bleven uiteindelijk wel wat zwarte strepen op mijn nagels zitten maar dit zag er erg lelijk uit! Op mijn duim is wel een duidelijk patroon te zien!
 
However, the final prints were disappointing. The papers weren't sticking on my nails even after waiting for 30 seconds!  I decided to lay the paper prints for about 10 seconds in acetone because you  have to do this with te Original version of the newspaper nails as well. After laying the paper prints in acetone I saw some black stripes appear on my nails but this looked very ugly!

 


Uiteindelijk liet het totale resultaat te wensen over. De eerst 2 printjes bleven min of meer op mijn nagels zitten maar de andere niet. Ik besloot de papiertjes in Acetone te weken maar ook dit werkte totaal niet Ik was uiteindelijk 2 uur bezig met deze manicure en het had geen effect. Het is wel een leuke activiteit voor een regenachtige dag!:)
 
Finally, I was very disappointed with the overal result. I saw the first two prints apear on my nails after applying the transfer solution but the other prints weren't clear at all. At last I decided to lay the paper print paper in acetone but this also had no effect. I spend over two hours making this manicure and I saw that the paper print manicure from Essence does not work at all. But however, it is a fun activity for a rainy day!
