~Nail art~ Almost 12 o'clock! Happy new year! ♥

Welkom in 2015! Het is 12 uur s ’nachts en ik ben zo gek om jullie als een van de eerste een gelukkig nieuw jaar te wensen. En natuurlijk kan ik dat niet beter doen dan met een nieuwe manicure! Ik heb weer superveel goede voornemens voor 2015 en ik ben benieuwd of jullie ook een paar doelen voor jezelf hebben gesteld. Laatst bekeek ik alle mooie nail arts die ik het afgelopen jaar gemaakt heb, en kwam tot de conclusie dat ik dat dit jaar minstens wil evenaren. De nail art die ik vandaag met jullie wil delen is geïnspireerd op oud en nieuw en ik hoop dat jullie hem mooi vinden. Voor dit eerste design van 2015 heb ik slechts twee lakjes gebruikt, maar ik ben toch erg tevreden met het eind resultaat van deze nail art. Benieuwd welke kleuren ik gebruikt heb? Welcome to 2015! It’s 12 a.m. and I’m so crazy to wish you all a happy, healthy and creative new year. And of course I cannot wish you a happy new year without a new manicure! I have made some resolutions for 2015 and I'm wondering if you have set any goals for yourself as well. This week I’ve taken a look at all the pretty nail arts that I made last year, and came to the conclusion that I want to make just as much nail arts in 2015! The nail art that I want to share with you today is inspired by new year’s eve, and I hope you like it. For this first design in 2015, I have used only two polishes, but I am very pleased with the final result of this manicure. Wondering which colors I've used? Het blauwe lakje dat ik voor deze nail art gebruikt heb heet Nr. 613 Midnight rendezvous. Deze nagellak komt uit de  60 Seconds Colour Rush Nailpolish collection by Rita Ora van Rimmel London en de namen van de lakjes zijn ook door Ora haarzelf verzonnen. De collectie bestaat uit zes nagellakken waaronder drie koele tinten en drie warme tinten. Deze donker paarse nagellak bedekt mijn nagels met twee laagjes en droogt bovendien erg snel op! Binnen twee minuten waren mijn nagels gedroogd en ze hadden een mooie gladde finish. Daarom is dit mijn favoriete kleur uit de collectie! Maar hoe heb ik de nail art die je in dit artikel kunt zien gemaakt?

 

The blue polish that I used to create this nail art is called Nr. 613 Midnight rendezvous. This polish is from the 60 Seconds Colour Rush Nail polish collection by Rita Ora and is released by Rimmel London. Miss Ora herself came up with matching names for the polishes in this collection. This collection has six new shades and contains three cool and three warm colors. This dark purple polish covers my nails with two layers of the polish and dryes really quick. Within two minutes, my nails were dried completely and they had a very smooth finish! And that's why this is one of my favorite shades from this collection! But how have I managed to create this new year’s eve manicure?

Zoals je waarschijnlijk al is opgevallen is deze nail art gemaakt met maar twee kleuren. De blauwe kleur die ik hierboven besproken heb, bracht ik als eerste op mijn nagels aan. Toen deze basislaag gedroogd was, besloot ik witte details toe te voegen. Eerst omlijnde ik de randen van mijn nagels met een witte striper en daarna maakte ik witte ringen op mijn nagels. Toen ik begon met nagels lakken wist ik nog niet wat ik wilde maken, maar uiteindelijk ben ik wel tevreden met het eindresultaat. De witte ringetjes lijken bijna op champagne bubbels, en ik vond het gewoon heel leuk om 2015 te beginnen met een nonchalante en simpele nagelcreatie, die toch ook een eye-catcher is. s’Avonds valt de blauwe kleur weg, maar de witte details vallen in het schijnsel van het vuurwerk juist super veel op!

 
 

As you have probably already noticed this nail art is made with just two colors. I applied the blue color that I have discussed above first on my nails. When this base layer had dried, I decided to add some white details. First I painted the contours of my nails with a white striper and then I made some white rings on my nails, to let them stand out even more. When I started making this manicure I did not know what I wanted to do, but in the end I am happy with the final result. The white rings almost look like champagne bubbles, and I found it just really nice to start 2015 with a casual and simple nail creation, which is also an eye-catcher anyway. This evening the white details will stand in the glow of the fireworks and I’m very curious what you guys think of this manicure!

Winter 2014 Januari-March

Ik ben inmiddels 15 maanden bezig met bloggen, en de nail arts die je hierboven ziet zijn dus echt gemaakt in de fase dat ik alles nog een beetje moest uitvinden. Geen vaste houding van mijn vingers op de foto en als ik nu op die periode terugkijk liet de kwaliteit soms te wensen over. Maar toch vind ik dat ik in de eerste maanden van mijn blog avontuur een aantal mooie creaties heb bedacht. Op de Mondriaan nail art ben ik nog steeds erg trots.

I am blogging for almost 15 months now and the nail arts that you can see in the collage above, I've made when I wasn't as experienced with blogging and making nail arts as I am now. I had no standard way of photographing my nails, or tips & tricks to play around with Photoshop or lightning. But I do think that I've managed to create some beautiful nail arts in this season of my blogging experience. The Mondrian nail art is my favorite from that period of time.

Spring 2014 March-May

 

Zoals je ziet had ik in de lente al meer ervaring met fotograferen, ook mijn blogposts zelf werden langer en ik durfde meer van mezelf te laten zien. Ik ging steeds meer over trends op het gebied van nagelverzorging schrijven, mijn nagel creaties werden gedetailleerder en ik stapte dan ook steeds meer over op freehand designs. Ook schreef ik vaak artikelen waarbij ik een feestdag, gebeurtenis of activiteit combineerde met een nieuwe nail art. De dottingture rechtsonder heb ik bijvoorbeeld gemaakt toen ik 13300 pageviews haalde.

As you can see in the pictures above I had way more experience making nail pictures in spring. My blogposts were longer and I dared myself to make my blog more personal. I began to write more about trends in nail care, my nail art creations became more detailed and I got also a lot better at making freehand designs. In this period of time I started making nail arts inspired on special occasions as well. I made the dottingture that you can see on the right bottom of the collage when my blog reached 13300 page views.

Summer 2014 June-August

Vanaf de zomer is alles zo snel gegaan. Ik kan me van de eerste designs nog heel veel herinneren: waar ik was en hoe ik tot het idee van de nail art kwam. Vanaf de zomer liep alles voor mijn gevoel in stroomversnelling. Ik maakte een op het WK geïnspireerde nail art die veel positieve reacties kreeg en werd lid van de blogsociety. Dit is een platform dat bloggers helpt een naam op te bouwen. Ook ging ik meedoen aan een COTM (challenge of te month) met een aantal andere aan nagellak verslaafde bloggers. De nail art rechtsonder is de back to school manicure die ik als een van de eerste inzendingen gemaakt heb.

From the summer on, everything has gone so fast. I can remember a lot when I think about how I managed to make the creations that you could already see in the pictures above. But when my blog reached around 8 months of existence, everything went just so fast! I made the World Cup inspired nail art that got a lot of positive reactions and  I became a member of the blog Society as well. This is a platform that helps bloggers to build a name and to connect with brands. I also became involved in a COTM (challenge or month) with some other bloggers who are nail polish addict as well. :) The nail art that you can see on the right bottom of the collage was one of my first entries for this monthly challenge.

Fall 2014 August-October

Ook is er in de herfst superveel gebeurd. Ik kreeg langzaam meer ervaring met fotograferen en ontdekte hoe ik mijn foto's het beste kon bewerken. Hierdoor kon ik mijn posts ook met een enige regelmaat inplannen en verscheen er nu minstens 2x per week een artikel op mijn blog. Het was ook een spannend seizoen omdat ik voor het eerst samples van nagelproducten opgestuurd kreeg, en voor het eerst ging samenwerken met bedrijven en webshops. De spiderweb nail art die ik voor Halloween heb gemaakt vind ik supergoed gelukt!

So many things changed this fall, and I was able to lift my blog to another level. I slowly got more experience with taking pictures and I discovered how I could edit my pictures to make them look even more beautiful. I was able to write my posts on regular bases, and now  you can see at least 2 times a week a new article on creativenails4fun. It was an exciting season because the first nail polish samples were sended to me and I began to work with Pr-agencies, brands & webshops. I love the spiderweb nail art that I made for Halloween!

 

Winter 2014 November-December

En dan zijn we weer aangekomen in het huidige seizoen. De Galaxy nail art die ik voor een van de laatste COTM's gemaakt heb vind ik goed gelukt, en jullie kunnen in deze collage ook al een kleine sneak peak ontdekken van wat  er op het gebied van nail arts nog te wachten staat. Ook mocht ik dit seizoen weer samenwerken met een aantal bedrijven, en deed het me steeds meer plezier om producten uit te testen. Ook ben ik deze maand meer gaan fotograferen en zijn er meer posts met sfeerbeelden online gekomen. Nail arts geïnspireerd op trends blijven natuurlijk ook terugkomen op Creativenail4fun. Ik hoop dat ik in 2015 net zo veel nail arts mag maken! Als je bezig bent met bloggen sta je er soms niet bij stil hoeveel werk je eigenlijk in een hobby steekt, maar als ik al deze mooie creaties zie, ben ik heel trots op mezelf en kan ik eindelijk zeggen dat ik mijn hart heb gevolgd en mijn passie achterna ben gegaan! Gelukkig nieuwjaar ;)

 

 And then we arrive in the current season. I'm very satisfied with the galaxy nail arts that I made for one of my last COTM's and when you take a look at the collage above you can discover a little sneak peak of nail arts that will be in a post in a couple of days. This season I was able to work with some exciting brands & webshops, and I discovered that I love testing new products for you guys! I was also making more photographs this month and I am beginning to share post containing only pictures with you more often. I'll continue to make nail arts inspired on fashion trends as well and I hope I can make just as much nail arts next year comparing with 2014! When you're busy blogging away on your computer, you don't realize how special this blogging experience is and I think  I have to think about that more often! ~Swatches~ Winter polishes Catrice!

Hallo Lieve lezers, tussen alle kerstvreugde door, deel ik vandaag een nieuwe review met jullie. Catrice heeft de laatste tijd veel nieuwe lakjes aan zijn assortiment toegevoegd en toen ik in de drogist stond zag ik genoeg leuke kleuren die ik nog niet voor jullie heb uitgetest. De lakjes passen goed bij de feestdagen en ik was erg benieuwd hoe de kwaliteit van deze lakken me zou bevallen. Nu het kerst vakantie is, heb ik weer meer tijd om posts te schrijven en foto's voor mijn blog te maken. Doordat ik meer tijd heb merk ik dat ik ook weer meer geniet van het bloggen. Hello dear readers, among all the Christmas joy I wanted to share a brand new review with you today. Catrice has added a lot of new nail polishes to its collection and when I was looking at them in the drugstore, I saw plenty of fun colors that I have not yet tested for you guys. The polishes fit really well with the holiday season and I was so curious if these shades were going to meet my expectations. Now that it's almost Christmas, I've got more time to write posts and to take pictures for my blog. Because I don't need to hurry to get posts online anymore I discovered the fun and creativity of blogging again! Read on for more swatches and my honest opinion about these colors ...

De eerste kleur die ik met jullie wil delen heet Nr. 44 Mermaid my day. Nadat ik mijn nagels met een laagje van de nagellak had gelakt zag ik dat de lak nog niet dekkend genoeg was om mijn nagels volledige dekking te geven. Daarom besloot ik nog een tweede laag aan te brengen. Nadat de tweede laag gedroogd was zag ik dat de kleur nu toch echt beter tot zijn recht kwam. De substantie van deze nagellak is waterig en streperig, waardoor je de lak niet gelijk goed over je nagels kunt verdelen. De kleur van deze nagellak vind ik wel heel mooi. De lak heeft een groene lichte holografische kleur en ik vind de subtiele gouden glitter heel mooi, maar de dekking valt wel degelijk tegen. Toch heb ik nog niet een lak zoals deze in mijn collectie en was ik heel benieuwd hoe hij mij zou bevallen.

The first color which I wanted to share with you is called No. 44 Mermaid my day. After painting my nails with one layer of nail polish I noticed that the paint was still not opaque enough to give my nails full coverage. Therefore I decided to use a second layer over the first one. After the second coat had dried, I saw that the color looked more beautiful, and I could see more of the shimmer that this green shade contains. The substance of this nail polish is very transparent and streaky, so it was hard to divide this color equally over your nails. I think the color of this polish looks really beautiful. The paint is a green light holographic color and I like the subtle golden glitter that this shade contains but the coverage is disappointing. Still, I do not have a lacquer like this in my collection and I was very curious what he would be like.

 

 

De tweede lak die ik ga uitproberen heet Nr. 62 must-have STEELetto. Dit is een lieve paars-edgy kleur die op het eerste gezicht in de verpakking heel veel subtiele glitters bevat. Deze kleur bevat ook een hele lichte holografische Touch en ik was super benieuwd hoe deze kleur me zou bevallen. Toen ik het eerste laagje aanbracht viel me op dat de glitters heel mooi tot zijn recht komen en dat de lak er ook heel elegant uitziet op je nagels. Om volledige dekking te hebben zal je echter wel twee lagen van deze lak nodig hebben. Toen ik het tweede laagje aanbracht zagen mijn nagels er al veel beter uit. Je kunt deze lak denk ik ook als extreme glitter topcoat gebruiken, bijvoorbeeld door eerst een donkere kleur als  basis aan te brengen. De kleur bevat zoals je kunt zien veel meer glitters dan de groene kleur. De glitters zijn heel subtiel, en je ziet dat de kleur in fel licht mooi tot zijn recht komt.

The second shade that I'm going to try  is called No. 62 must-have STEELetto. This is a lovely purple color that looks really edgy and contains a lot of subtle glitter when you take a look at the package. This color also includes a very light holographic touch and I was super curious how this shade would look on my nails. When I applied the first layer, I noticed that glitters looked really nice and elegant on my nails. To have full coverage, however, you will probably need two coats of this nail polish. When I applied the second layer on my nails I saw that my nails looked so much better. You can use this color as an extreme glitter topcoat, by combining this shade with a dark base color. This shade contains a lot more glitter comparing with the first polish. The glitters are very subtle, and in bright light this color will stand out even more.

Mijn uiteindelijke mening van deze twee lakken: Ik vind de groene nagellak erg mooi. Wel heeft deze drie lagen nodig om perfect te dekken maar als hij gedroogd is droogt hij wel helemaal egaal op. Ik was dus erg tevreden met het eindresultaat. De paars-roze kleur vind ik zowel lief als stoer en lijkt in fel licht bijna brons te zijn. Deze kleur is mijn favoriet omdat hij heel erg geschikt is voor de feestdagen. Ook is deze kleur geschikt als Topcoat wanneer je bijvoorbeeld een laag aanbrengt in combinatie met een donkere basiskleur. Met twee lagen is deze glitterlak perfect om als een opzichzelfstaande nagellak te dienen. Kortom deze lakjes van Catrice waren voor mij beslist geen miskoop en ik kijk uit naar het gebruiken van deze producten bij een volgende nail art!

My final opinion on these two polishes: I think the green nail polish looks very beautiful at first sight. However, you'll probably need three layers to cover your nails perfectly. But when your nails have dried this will be the perfect base color for a new nail art and I was very pleased with the overall result. The purple-pink color, I think looks both sweet and edgy and looks almost bronze in bright light. This color is my favorite because it is very suitable for the holidays. You can also use this color as an extreme glitter topcoat, by combining this shade with a dark base color. But two layers of this glitter polish is perfect to serve as a stand-alone nail polish. In short, these polishes from Catrice were certainly not dissapointing and I look forward to use these products in an upcoming manicure.

Hallo lieve volgers! Kerstmis staat inmiddels weer voor de deur en vandaag deel ik een gloednieuwe post met jullie. Deze week was ik swatches van verschillende soorten nagellak aan het maken toen ik vanuit mijn ooghoek onze kerstboom op zag lichten. Ik kon niet stoppen met het bekijken van alle verschillende versiersels en voor ik het wist was het maken van een review verandert in het fotograferen van onze kerstboom. Omdat het bijna kerst is, en ik best wel tevreden was met het resultaat van de foto's, besloot ik ze in deze post met jullie te delen. Helaas viel mijn computer deze week uit waardoor ik dit artikel weer helemaal opnieuw kon schrijven, maar that's life! Ik hoop dat jullie de foto's leuk vinden en ik wens jullie bij deze allemaal hele fijne feestdagen. Ook hoop ik dat jullie een gelukkig en creatief 2015 tegemoet gaan! Ik kijk uit om volgend jaar weer veel nieuwe blogs te ontdekken en artikelen te lezen, want jullie blogs zijn stuk voor stuk heel inspirerend. Hello dear followers! Christmas isalready around the corner and today I would like to share a brand new post with you. Thisweek I was swatching of lot of different types of nail polish when my eye caught the Christmas tree in our house. I could not stop looking at all the different decorations and before I knew it I taking pictures of our Christmas tree instead of writing a review. Because it's almost Christmas, andI was quitesatisfied with the result of these pictures, I decided to share them with you in this post. Unfortunately my computer had a little crash this week so I couldbegin writing this article all over again, but that's life! I hope you'll enjoy thepictures and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and creative 2015!I look forward to discover many new blogsnext year and read a lot of new articles, because they inspire me to keep on posting every day. Today I hope, therefore, to give you some inspiration with theseChristmas photos! Read on to see all the pictures.

 

 

Zoals ik net al vertelde had ik het deze week druk met het fotograferen van mijn nagels. Ik was bezig met swatches en nail arts, maar gelukkig is het voor mij inmiddels vakantie en had ik alle tijd om aan mijn blog te werken. Onze kerstboom staat inmiddels al een tijdje in de kamer en ik kon niet stoppen met het bekijken van alle verschillende versiersels. Voor ik het wist was het maken van een review verandert in het fotograferen van onze boom. Het eindresultaat kun je in dit artikel bewonderen. Nadat ik de foto's in de schemering had gemaakt heb ik ze in fotoshop nabewerkt. Ik heb het contrast verhoogt en ook met het licht gespeelt waardoor er een heel cool effect ontstaat. Vooral de zilveren kerstballen heb ik op deze manier mooi op de foto weten te zetten.

As I mentioned in the introduction I was taking a lot of pictures from my nails this week. I was so busy with swatches and manicures, but luckily for meit's now vacation and I had plenty of time to work for my blog. Our Christmas tree is settled in our house by now and I could not stop looking at all the different decorations. Before I knew it I was taking pictures of our tree instead of writing a review. You can see the overall result in this article. After I made the photos, I uploaded them into photo shop, to make them stand out even more. I increased the contrast and played with the light as well, creating a verycool effect.

 

 

December zal mijn blog in het teken staan van de feestdagen, en daarom zullen er veel kerst gerelateerde posts voorbijkomen. Een overview van alle nagelcreaties die ik dit jaar gemaakt heb, swatches van verschillende kerstkleuren, maar ook een winter nail art en een nagelcreatie voor oud en nieuw komen binnenkort online.
