Zoals jullie in de inleiding al konden lezen was het thema van deze Challenge Galaxy. In eerste instantie wist ik niet precies wat ik wilde maken, laat staan hoe het resultaat van deze nail art eruit zou zien, maar uiteindelijk vond ik het resultaat toch weer erg mooi. Ik heb een metallic basis gemaakt door met de ombre techniek verschillende donkere en lichte kleuren op mijn nagels te stempelen. Ik heb uitsluitend kleuren gebruikt die me deden denken aan het heelal en na een paar lagen was ik tevreden met het resultaat. Om deze manicure nog iets interessanter te maken besloot ik witte geometrische lijnen toe te voegen. Van tevoren wist ik niet of dit wel goed zou uitpakken maar achteraf geeft dit de nail art toch net iets meer detail! Ik ben zo benieuwd wat jullie van mijn galaxy nail art vinden?!

As you could read in the introduction, the theme of this challenge was Galaxy. At first I did not know exactly what I wanted to do, and I didn't really know how the result of this nail art was going to look like either, but in the end I was very satisfied with the result of this nail art. I created a metallic base by using the Ombretechnique with several dark and light colors on mynails. I used onlycolors that reminded me of the universe, and aftera few layers I was satisfied with the result of the galaxy base. To make this manicure a little bit more interesting to look at I decided to add white geometric lines. I did not know if this was going to work but in the end I think those white lines give this nail art a lot more detail! I'm so curious what you think of my galaxy nail art?!
















 

 

Maar ook mijn mede-bloggers hebben deze maand niet stilgezeten. Ik was zoals elke Challenge weer erg verbaasd met het resultaat. Heel gaaf om te zien dat je zoveel verschillende nail arts rondom hetzelfde thema kunt maken. Mijn favorieten deze maand zijn de gedetailleerde nail art van IonTrend maar ook de manicure van MissLanghaar vind ik super! Feit blijft dat al deze nail arts weer heel geslaagd zijn. But my fellow bloggers have also been very busy creating a new manicure this month. I was really surprised with the result of all these stunning nail art creations. 1. Kerruticles: Clair reviewed some of these decals from BornPrettyStore this month and personally I think that they look just so pretty! She placed them over a coat of basic white polish. I love the result of this manicure. She wrote that applying these decals is really easy and I'd love to try them myself one day!


2. Manicurator: Victoria used these new shades from the OPI Gwen Stefani Holiday collection to create a special Wonder Woman nail art for us. I think the details of this manicure look great! She wrote that these shades do have a great coverage and they are very easy to work with!


3. Lucy's stash: Lucy made a wonderful Autumn glitter gradient nail art for us and she included a tutorial on how to create this manicure in her post as well. I love the overall result of this manicure and the glitters are perfect for both fall and winter. The golden glitter looks great against the black background.


4. Break rules, not nails:Shared a wonderful dancing witches manicure with her readers some weeks ago. Although this is origionally a nail art for Halloween I wanted to share it with you so bad! The details in this manicure look great, and I love the light blue shade that she used as a base for this nail art creation.

 


5. Fairly charming: This blog created a wonderful Houndstooth manicure this month, and I just love the overall result of this nail art creation. The famous black & white pattern looks great on her nails but I like the golden sparkle and the blue shade as well. She used a detail brush and scrylic paint, to create this design!

6. Polish pals:Jenna made these beautiful looking golden foil nails and I'd love to create a manicure like this one day! It's perfect for fall and I love all the golden details. She used a shade from Chanel called Taboo to create this nail art creation. I love how this manicure turned out!

7. Fife Fantasi Nails: Turquoise nails are going to be a hugh trend this season and I love the manicure that Fife Fantasi Nails made using this shade as a base for her manicure. The black freehand design itself looks also wonderful.

8. Copycat claws: these Bookshelf Stamping Decals look just so cute, don't they?  Copycat claws used a dark brown shade from Essie to create this nail art design. She used a stamping plate from MoYou Londen which she filled in with acrylic paint as well.




9. Craftynail: Jacqui made this feather manicure for fall using this stunning braun color that looks great against her skin tone. But I love this design and all the little details that this nail art includes as well. The feather design really accentuate the base color!

10. One nail to rule them all: I think we all know this wonderful blogger who makes nail art creations for her followers regularly! These Floral Leaves look great and I really love how she added a tutorial to her post as well! Her photos look always great!

11. Polish playground: Lisa made this Glittery Autumn Leaf Nail Art and I think this manicure is just perfect for fall. She used multiple colors from O.P.I to create this design and the shades look just so pretty on her nails! Love the golden details as well <3

12. Polish Candies:This is the perfect Instagram account for any nail art lover! Polish Candies recently made this yellow and orange fall inspired nail art creation and I love the overall result. The Ombre base really lets this nail art stand out even more.




13. Gabby's nail art: Another Instagram account where you can discover some wonderful manicures for fall. I like these leaves against the white base and I'm in love with the ring as well :) The leaves look just so cute and I love how she added some real leaves to this pictures as well.

14. Canadian Nail Fanatic: This blog created a wonderful manicure for the Digit-al Dozen skittle challenge. I love all the different colors that she used to create this design, and the details look great as well! I'm very excited to discover more nail art from the Canadian Nail Fanatic.

15. WondrouslyPolished: I think this Autumn Leaves Nail Art is my favorite of this post. The pattern that she made on her nails looks just so cute and I love the overall result. The base for this manicure is OPI's Don't Bossa Nova Me Around and the leaves and details are made by using some acrylic paints.

Het eerste product dat ik met jullie wil delen is de set Mix Patterns Nail Water Decals Nail Art Transfer Stickers Decoration. Deze waterdecals heb ik al eens eerder uitgetest en kun je via een aantal stappen heel simpel op je nagels aanbrengen. Nadat je je nagels schoon hebt gemaakt breng je eerst een basislak op je nagels aan. Terwijl deze kleur droogt knip je de decal uit die je wilt gebruiken en verwijder je de folie van deze nagelsticker. Nu is het de bedoeling dat je dit papieren patroontje voor 10-20 seconden in het water legt. Wanneer je nagels gedroogd zijn en je een aantal seconden gewacht heb, kan je de decal makkelijk van het papier verwijderen. Nu kun je de decal sticker op je nagels plaatsen, en een topcoat zorgt ervoor dat hij lang op je nagels blijft zitten! Als je nagels gedroogd zijn is je manicure compleet!
 
The first product that I would like to share with you guys is this set called Mix Patterns Nail Water DecalsNail Art Transfer Stickers Decoration. I've tried some of the decals from this web store before and you can apply this product on your nails following just a couple of simple steps. After cleaning your fingertips you can start off with a base color like I did. While the color is drying you  can choose a pattern you like and remove the film of this nail decal. The next step is to plunge the decal into water and after 10-20 seconds you can remove the pattern from the paper and you are able to apply the decal onto your nails. A topcoat can prolong your manicure, and will keep the decals stay in place! You can also use the topcoat to add some shine to your manicure.





Hierboven kunnen jullie de creatie zien die ik met deze Water Decals gemaakt heb. Toen mijn nagels gedroogd waren en ik beter naar deze nail art keek, was ik echt verbaast door het resultaat. Wat een cool product! Je ziet niets van de doorzichtige Waterdecal en enkel het zwarte patroon is zichtbaar op je nagels. Ik heb deze Decals uitgeprobeerd met meerdere achtergrond kleuren en besloot uiteindelijk toch voor een witte achtergrond te gaan. Op twee van mijn nagels heb ik een verticale Decal aangebracht. Daarna besloot ik op mijn overige nagels 2 horizontale patronen aan te brengen. Ik vind het eind resultaat echt super. Zelfs als je helemaal niet goed bent in nail art, kun je deze Decals zonder moeite op je nagels krijgen. Een topcoat zorgt ervoor dat de Decals op zijn plaats blijven zitten en geeft extra glans aan deze manicure.

In the pictures above you can see the nail art creation that I made using these decals. When my nails had dried completely I was just really excited and happy with the result of this manicure. This is such a cool product! The transparent decal under the pattern isn't visible at all. I tried the decals in this set on multiple backgrounds but I ended up loving the result on this white base. On two of my nails, I applied one vertical decal. When my nails had dried completely I finished this manicure by adding two more decals in a horizontal line on the other nails. I ended up loving the result off this manicure. Even when you haven't got the time or the talent to make nail arts like I make in general, you will still be able to create this easy nail art creation! You can apply a topcoat over the decals to keep them in place and to add a beautiful shine.

Het tweede product dat ik met jullie wil delen zijn deze gouden Studs. Ik was heel benieuwd om te zien hoe deze studs meer detail aan mijn nail art konden geven. Deze set genaamd de Gold Round Metal Nail Art Studs bestaat uit 12 kleine gouden buttons van metaal die je gemakkelijk op je nagels kunt plaatsen. Ik heb nog nooit met dit soort ronde steentjes gewerkt en was dus extra benieuwd naar het resultaat. Nadat je ook nu een basiskleur of nail art op je nagels gemaakt heb, kun je de steentjes in de nog natte nagellak drukken. Door een topcoat aan te brengen blijven de studs nog langer op je nagels zitten. Het leuke van deze steentje is dat je ze niet alleen voor je nagels hoeft te gebruikten. Je kan ze namelijk ook voor andere doeleinden gebruiken bijvoorbeeld om dingen in huis, je telefoon, bril, enz. te decoreren!


The second product from BornPrettyStore which I tried on my nails are these golden Studs. I was really excited to create a new manicure using these studs. This product is called Gold Round Metal Nail Art Studs and contains 10 little golden buttons made of metal which you can apply on your nails really easy as well. I've never worked with little stones like this before so I was very excited to see if this product was going to meet my expectations. After applying a base color or nail art on your nails you can press the studs into your wet manicure. After your nails have dried, you can seal your design using your favorite top coat. The fun part of these studs is that you can use them for a lot of other purposes as well. You can also use them to decorate your home, cell phone's case, glasses, made card, body art etc!




Hierboven heb ik al beschreven waar je de gouden studs allemaal voor kunt gebruiken, maar hoe heb ik ze zelf toegepast? Zoals jullie kunnen zien, kreeg ik veel inspiratie voor een nieuwe nail art, en ik wilde al een hele tijd een nagel creatie creëren die uit dit soort ronde steentjes bestond. Vandaag was dan eindelijk de perfecte kans! Nadat ik een blauw en groen kleuroverloop op mijn nagels had gemaakt, besloot ik verticale strepen toe te voegen om deze nail art nog net iets aparter te maken. Ik eindigde met de ronde studs, die ik aangebracht heb met een topcoat. Alhoewel je, je creatie na het drogen nog een keer goed moet 'vernissen' met een transparante nagellak, ben ik heel erg tevreden met het resultaat. De studs bleven lang op mijn nagels zitten, en ik zou dit product zeker aanraden!


I've already shared with you that you can use these golden studs for multiple purposes, but how have I used them myself? As you can see, I got a lot of  inspiration for a new nail art, and when I received these studs, I started painting my nails immediately. Today is finally the perfect time to share this nail art with you! After painting my nails with a green or blue Ombre base, I decided to add some purple and red vertical lines, that make this manicure look more special! I finished this nail art using the golden studs which I applied using a topcoat. Although you need to seal this design with a transparent polish, I was really happy with the overall result of this manicure. The studs stayed in place for a long time, and I can definitely recommend this product!

~Swatches~ OPI Emotions Liquid Sand polish!



Hallo iedereen! Vandaag wil ik graag een review van een kleurtje van OPI met jullie delen. Deze liquid Sand nagellak is onderdeel van de kerst collectie van Mariah Carey van vorig jaar. Dat was een hele uitgebreide lijn van nagellakjes, met onder andere glanzende lakken, glitter top coats en ook 6 Liquid Sand kleurtjes, waarvan dit de donkerste is. Laatst kwam ik deze mini nagellak van de kleur tegen, en ik besloot hem voor jullie uit testen. OPI verkoopt wel eens setjes met mini versies van 3.75 Ml van de full size lakken en dit is er een van! Ik ben heel benieuwd wat ik van deze kleur vind want ik heb aan het begin van mijn blog carrière al een liquid Sand nagellak van Essence uitgeprobeerd en daar was ik niet zo over te spreken. Ik hoop dat deze me wel bevalt. Lakjes van OPI zijn meestal van hele goede kwaliteit, maar wel aan de prijzige kant. Lees verder voor alle details...

Hello everyone! Today I'd like to share some swatches of this dark shade from OPI with you. This Liquid Sand polish was part of the Christmas collection from Mariah Carey last year. This was a very extensive limited edition launch which included both sparkly topcoats and shiny finishes but also 6 Liquid Sand shades. The polish that I want to share with you today is one of those. I discovered this small bottle of the color and I decided that I was very excited to share some swatches with you guys. OPI sells sets with small versions of the full size bottles now and then, and this little cute bottle is contains 3.75 ML of nail polish. I'm very curious if this shade is going to meet my expectations. When I just started this Blog adventure I wrote an article about a Sand polish from Essence which I was not so excited about. Laten we snel beginnen met deze kleur! OPI Emotions is een Liquid Sand Polish. Dat wil zeggen dat hij mini stukjes zand en glitter bevat, die op het eerste oog misschien niet te zien zijn, maar die wel een heel leuk en ruw effect op je nagels geven. Hierboven zien jullie de kleur op mijn nagels en ik heb ook wat van de nagellak op een test papiertje aangebracht zodat jullie de zwarte glitters en grijze zandkorrels nog beter kunnen zien. Ik vind de kleur van dit lakje super mooi en heel apart. Als je naar het flesje kijkt, lijkt het net of dit gewoon een zwarte glanzende nagellak is, en daarom kwam ik er thuis pas achter dat dit een Sand lakje is! Maar hoeveel lagen had ik nodig om deze lak op mijn nagels aan te brengen?


So let's start with the nail polish! OPI Emotions is a Liquid Sand polish. The shade contains little pieces of sand and sparkle, which you can't see at first sight. But they create a visible rough effect when your nails have dried completely! On the pictures above you can see how this shade looks on my nails but I've also applied some of the polish on a piece of paper to show you the black sparkles and grey sand that this color contains. I love this color and I think the details look just so special! When you take a look at the bottle this polish seems to be just a regular black shade but when I came home and applied the color onto my nails, I discovered that this is a Liquid Sand nail polish! But how many coats did I need to apply this shade?




Om mijn nagels lekker op te laten vallen, had ik 3 lagen van deze lak nodig. Dat is best wel teleurstellend in vergelijking met andere lakjes van OPI, waar 1 laag al genoeg is om al mijn nagels te bedekken. Maar wanneer mijn nagels helemaal gedroogd waren vond ik het effect op mijn nagels wel heel bijzonder. Maar het verwijderen van deze nagellak, dat is het lastige deel! Als je tips hebt, ze zijn welkom in de comments! :) Toen mijn nagels helemaal gedroogd waren had ik heel veel nagellak remover nodig om de kleur en de zand korrels van mijn nagels te krijgen. Ik vind de kleur van dit lakje echt bijzonder maar na een paar dagen was ik niet meer in staat deze kleur op een normale manier van mijn nagels te verwijderen. Deze lak verkleurde mijn natuurlijke nagels en ik zou dus zeker een base coat gebruiken als je dit lakje aan gaat brengen. Ik ben erg benieuwd wat jullie van deze nagellak vinden!

To let the Sand effect stand out on my nails, I needed to apply 3 coats of this nail polish. That did kind of disappoint me, because most of the shades from OPI cover my nails with only one coat! But when my nails had dried, I did like the effect of this shade on my nails. But removing this color is the most difficult part! Any tips & tricks are welcome in the comment section! :) When my nails had dried completely I needed a lot of strong nail polish remover to get this shade from my fingertips. I love the color of this nail polish but after some days, you can't remove this black color on your nails in a normal way. The color discolored my natural nails, and I would recommend using a base coat when you are applying this shade. I'm really curious what you guys think of this polish.

~Review~ Nail hardener & Nail whitener



Mooi lange en sterke nagels. Wie wil ze nou niet. Helaas lijken mooie lange vingertoppen niet voor iedereen weggelegd. Nu hebben lange nagels natuurlijk ook hun nadelen, begrijp me niet verkeerd. Vuil onder je nagels, verkleuringen en dan heb ik het nog niet eens gehad over het afbrokkelen en afscheuren van je nagels. Maar wat zou het toch leuk zijn om altijd je nagels te kunnen lakken zonder dat de kleur in je nagelriemen of nagels trekt, zonder dat dit de natuurlijke habitat van je nagels aantast! Ik ben al een tijdje bezig met het testen van verschillende producten en lijk de oplossing gevonden te hebben. De nagelverharder van Kruidvat en de Nail whitener van deze drogisterij zijn erg voordelig en daarom besloot ik de gok te wagen! Lees je mee?

Ik besloot te beginnen met de Hardener. Nouja niet echt beginnen, want ik ben de producten in dit artikel al zo'n maand aan het testen, maar vond de tijd niet om een artikel online te plaatsen. Dit product ziet er op het eerste gezicht heel veelbelovend uit. Een mooie verpakking die eigenlijk letterlijk afgekeken is van de lakjes van Koh. Maar ach wat zou het. Beter goed gestolen dan slecht bedacht :) Deze hardener komt met een gebruiksaanwijzing wat ik zelf persoonlijk erg fijn vind. Ik zou ook zeker aanraden deze eerst te lezen, want dit product is niet bedoelt als base of topcoat. Het is echt de bedoeling dat je dit product als kuur voor je nagels gebruikt gedurende 2 tot 3 keer per jaar een 2 weken lang. Omdat mijn nagels van nature niet de sterkste zijn besloot ik een paar maanden geleden de strong versie van dit product te kopen.
 

I decided to start off with the Hardener. Oh well not really starting off, because I have been testing these products for two months now but did not find the time to write an article. This product looks very interesting at first sight. A beautiful package that looks like it has been copied from the polishes from Koh. This hardenercomes with an instruction manual which I find very useful myself. I would recommend toread this manual first, because this product is not meant as abase or topcoat. It's really intended that you usethis product as a treatment for your nails for 2 to 3 times a year for 2 weeks. Because my nails are not naturally the strongest I decided to buy the strong version of this product a couple of months ago.



Wat vind ik van deze nail hardener? Ik heb dit product nu een paar maanden uitgeprobeerd en wanneer ik merkte dat mijn nagels dunner werden, bracht ik deze Hardener op mijn vingertoppen aan. En ik moet zeggen, het resultaat stelt niet teleur. Vooral omdat dit zo'n goedkope treatment is mag ik niet klagen. Ik zou dit product echter niet als basis onder nagellak gebruiken, want dat zou je nagels juist zwakker kunnen maken, doordat er een hele dikke laag nagellak op je nagels zit. Wel is dit een goed product als je je nagels even rust wil gunnen, of als je merkt dat je nagels snel afbrokkelen of geel worden.


What do I think of this nail hardener? I have tried this product for a few months now and when I noticed that my nails were getting thinner, I used this hardener on my fingertips. And I must say, the result does not disappoint at all. Especially sincethis is such a cheap treatment, I cannot complain. However I would not use this product as a base under your nail polish, because your nails can't catch any light if you apply a very thick coat of nail polish is on your nails. Well this is a reasonable product if you just want to give your nails a rest, or if you find thatyour nails quickly tear apart or become yellow.

Natuurlijk was ik ook nu heel benieuwd naar het resultaat, want wie wil naast sterke nou geen mooie roze nagels, zonder gele verkleuring. Als ik een French manicure maak, gebruik ik meestal eerst zelf een lichtroze basis, maar dit product zou een 'verzorgend' alternatief kunnen bieden! Ik ben heel benieuwd en in de volgende alinea kunnen jullie mijn ervaringen met de Whitener lezen.

Hoe is deze Nail whitener me bevallen? Dit product is niet echt een kuur te noemen maar probeert zoals ik eerder al gezegd heb, de natuurlijke kleur van de nagels nog meer op te laten vallen. Deze Whitener kun je gebruiken als basis voor onder French manicures maar natuurlijk kan je hem ook gewoon zo dragen, om je nagels een extra verzorgde indruk te geven. Waar de Hardener een dunne en sneldrogende vloeistof is, lijkt de Whitener meer op een transparante nagellak. De vloeistof is dikker, maar dit product is me ook zeker niet tegengevallen. Als je hele gele of verkleurde nagels hebt, gaat dit product denk ik niet werken, maar deze Nail Whitener kan de natuurlijke kleur van je nagels wel meer naar voren brengen!

What do I think of this Nail Whitener? You cannot really call this product a cure, but you can use this whitener to let the color of your natural nails stand out even more. You can use this product as a base before you're going to create a French manicure, but you can also just apply the shade, to give your nails an extra dimension. Where hardener is a thin and fast drying liquid, the whitener is more like a transparent nail polish. The liquid is thicker, but this product is certainly not disappointing to me. If you have yellow or discolored nails, this Nail whitener may let the natural color of your nails stand out!
