Hallo lieve lezers, vandaag deel ik een gloednieuwe nail art met jullie. De laatste weken plaats ik steeds meer posts op mijn blog, waar ik nail arts met jullie deel die geïnspireerd zijn op andere creaties. Hoewel ik het super vind om zelf het wiel uit te vinden, zijn er natuurlijk ook een aantal standaard thema's die zo nu en dan wat aandacht verdienen. Vandaag wilde ik weer zo'n bekende nail art met jullie delen. De puzzel manicure zal menig nail art verslaafde wel bekend voorkomen. Deze manicure is simpel te maken en ziet er ook nog eens super mooi en creatief uit. In dit artikel zal ik eerst een aantal foto's van andere bloggers met jullie delen, en daarna meer vertellen over de puzzel nail art die ik gemaakt heb. Although I think it's great to discover and create nail arts yourself, there are also some standard themes that occasionally deserve some attention as well. Today I intended to share such a famous nail art with you. The puzzle manicure will probably be familiar to many nail art addicts. This manicure is simple to make and looks always super beautiful and creative. In this article I will have some pictures of other bloggers to share with you, and then tell you more about the puzzle nail art I made. Of course I have given my own twist to this theme. Hierboven kunnen jullie een collage van verschillende puzzel nail arts zien. Elk van deze manicures is weer anders, en dat vind ik juist ook heel leuk om te zien. Iedere Nagel blogger heeft een eigen unieke stijl, en ik vind het mooi dat er zoveel mooie blogs bestaan die hun eigen creativiteit met ons delen. De nail art die ik in dit artikel met jullie deel is dan ook geïnspireerd op deze 'Puzzel Trend' Ik vind de eerste nail art in deze collage erg mooi en strak maar ook de blauwe nail art die daaronder te zien is, is net weer anders en ook origineel. Op het moment dat ik begon met nagels lakken wist ik nog niet precies welke kleuren ik zou gaan gebruiken, maar had al wel een idee voor een ontwerp in mijn hoofd. Ik wilde sowieso een puzzel van vier vlakken maken, maar zou hier wel mijn eigen draai aan gaan geven.

 
Above you can see a collage of different puzzle nail arts that I came across this week. Each of these manicures is different, and that is just so inspirative for me. Every blogger has it's own and unique style, and I like the fact that there exist so many wonderful blogs that share their creativity with us. The nail art that I'll share with you in this article was inspired by the 'Puzzle Trend'. I think the first nail art in this collage looks very nice and tight but also the blue nail art that can be seen below, it is slightly different and also original. The moment I started with this new nail polish I did not know exactly what colors I would use, but already had an idea for a design in my head. I wanted to make a puzzle of containing four parts, and below you can read how I managed to create this new design.
 



Zie hier de nail art die ik gemaakt heb. Voor deze viervlak puzzel nail art heb ik twee kleuren gebruikt. De lichtpaarse kleur is van Essence en heet: No. 149 Hello marshmallow! De donkere kleur is van Herome en heet No. 107 Dakar. Dit zijn twee van mijn favoriete kleuren voor deze zomer! Ik begon deze nail art met het lakken van mijn nagels in de lichtpaarse kleur. Vervolgens verdeelde ik iedere nagel in vier vlakken en kleurde ik twee vlakken met de donkere kleur in. Toen dit gedroogd was heb ik stippen om mijn nagels aangebracht, zodat er een puzzel patroon ontstond. Om het effect nog beter over te brengen heb ik een topcoat aangebracht! In this article you can see my version of the puzzle manicure. I used two colors for this puzzle nail art. The light purple color is from Essence and is called: No. 149Hello marshmallow! The dark color is from Heromeand is called No. 107 Dakar. These are two of my favorite colors forthis summer! I started this nail art with paintingmy nails inthe light purple color. Then I divided each nail into fourareas and I colored two of the surfaces with the dark purple shade. When this had dried, I applied dots on mynails. Hallo allemaal! Sorry Sorry, dat er gisteren geen post online kwam. Ik ben vanaf woensdag ziek geweest en zit nu op vrijdagavond nog dit artikel af te tikken. Stuk voor stuk vind ik deze nail arts echt heel mooi! De Flower creatie van Hairdesign heeft me veel inspiratie voor mijn eigen nail art gegeven die ik binnenkort met jullie zal delen. Door deze manicures naast elkaar te zetten kun je ook goed zien wat de trends voor deze zomer op nagelgebied zullen zijn. Natuurlijk zien we veel felle bloemen terug. Dit kan zowel via de One Stroke techniek, zoals No. 14 maar ook freehand flowers zien we in bovenstaande foto's verschijnen. De ombre nail art is perfect voor deze zomer en No. 15 is een voorbeeld van een ombre met twee mooie zomerse kleuren. Tot slot zien we ook het 90s tie dye printje terug, No. 11. Overall, I think these nail arts all look really lovely! The flower creation of Hair Design has given me a lot of inspiration for my own nail art which I will soon share with you on this blog. By putting these manicures next to each other you can see exactly what the trends for this upcoming summer will be on nail area. Of course, we'll see a lot of bright flowers back on our nails. This can be done through the One Stroke technique such as No. 14 but also freehand flowers will be a statement for our nails again. The ombre nail art is perfect for this summer and No. 15 is an example of an ombre with two beautiful summer colors. Finally, we also see the 90s tie dye print-back on our nails and No. 11. is one of those mani's. I am curious what you think of these nail arts. Hallo iedereen, welkom bij weer een nieuwe post! In de voorgaande twee artikelen heb ik een flink aantal lakken uit de vernieuwde collectie van Essence voor jullie uitgetest. Het resultaat was matig, sommige kleuren waren mooi en anderen vielen tegen. Vandaag wil ik jullie echter kennis laten maken met een geheel nieuw merk. Sinful Colors is ook een budgetmerk dat bij diverse drogisterijen in Nederland te koop is. Het merk verkoopt veel felle knalkleuren maar ook subtiele tonen. Deze lichtere kleuren heb ik voor dit artikel uitgekozen. Hello everyone, welcome to a new post! In the previous two articles, I have tested quite a few polishes from the new Essence collection for you. The result was moderate and overal quite nice, some colors managed to meet my expectations and others were disappointing. However, today I want to introduce you to a whole new brand. Sinful Colors is a budget brand that is for sale at various drugstores in the Netherlands. The brand sells lots of bright pop colors but the brand has also a lot of subtle shades. These lighter colors were the ones that I chose for this article. In this post you'll see the swatches of these two colors and you can read my honest opinion about the quality of the two lacquers :) Read on for all the details .... 

 
De eerste kleur die ik wel uittesten heet: Starfish. Ik wist niet dat zeesterren roze waren :) Toch vind ik deze kleur echt heel mooi. Hij had maar twee lagen nodig om er zo uit te zien als op bovenstaande foto. De glans die deze nagellak bevat vind ik prachtig en ik zou deze kleur dan ook zeker aan iedereen aanraden. De manier waarop het zonlicht op mijn nagels weerkaatst vind ik echt super. Deze lak krijgt van mij alvast een dikke voldoende. Hieronder kun je lezen of de tweede kleur me ook zo goed bevallen is.
The first color that I'd like to test for you is called Starfish. I think that this color is really lovely. It needed only two layers to look as the picture and the swatches above. The gloss that this nail polish contains, I think looks so wonderful and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a shade like this. The way the sunlight reflects on my nails I think is really nice. This varnish will get a great mark from me :) Below you can read if the second color is a recommender by me as well.

 De tweede lak is een parelmoer witte kleur en heet Social Ladder. Deze kleur viel me echt heel erg tegen. Op de bovenstaande foto heb ik vier lagen van de lak aan moeten brengen om tot een toonbaar resultaat te komen. Deze lak bevalt me helemaal niet goed. In de verpakking ziet hij eruit als een witte glanzende kleur maar, eenmaal op je nagels valt dit zwaar tegen. Ik zou een onvoldoende geven voor deze nagellak en hem dan ook niet aanraden. Als je iemand bent die niet van nail art houdt en enkel gaat voor een lichte glans op je nagels kan dit wel een mooie kleur zijn. Want door een laagje aan te brengen kun je je nagels wel een subtiele glans geven.
The second lacquer is a pearl white color and is called Social Ladder. This color really disappointed and wasn't so lovely as I hoped it would be. On the pictures above, I needed to apply four layers of paint to achieve a presentable result. This lacquer didn't please me at all. In the box it looks like a pretty white shiny color but, once you've applied it on your nails, this polish doesn't look great at all. I would not give this polish a good mark and I wouldn't recommend it. If you are someone who does not love nail art and is just going for a light shine on your nails than this varnish can be a beautiful color. Because by applying one layer, you can give your nails a subtl shine :)

~Swatches~ Essence Gel Nail Polishes #2



Hallo lieve lezers! In deze post deel twee van mijn review wat betreft de kleuren van Essence uit de nieuwe Gel nagellak collectie. In een van mijn vorige posts konden jullie al lezen dat ik gemiddeld erg tevreden was met de kwaliteit van deze vernieuwde collectie. De blauwe glitterlak beviel me minder dan de gewone nagellak. De eerste kleur die ik in dit artikel met jullie wil delen heet No. 22 I Love My Blue Jeans! Dit is behalve een gellak ook een kleur die mat zou moeten opdrogen. Hierboven zie je het resultaat. Ik vind niet dat deze lak 100% matte is want ik kan nog steeds de reflectie van het zonlicht op mijn nagels zien, maar al met al best een mooie kleur! Een laag was genoeg om al mijn nagels te bedekken! Ook deze kleur droogde weer mooi en snel op! Ik ben zelf echt een grote fan van Matte lakjes, en daarom kan ik deze kleur echt wel aanraden!

The first color I've swatched in this article is called No. 22 I Love My Blue Jeans!This shade, comparing with the other colors, is more of a matte nail polish. Above you can see the result. I do not think this paint is 100% matte because I can still see the reflection of the sunlight on my nails, but all in all I think this is quite a nice color! One layer was enough to cover all my nails! Also this color dried again nice and fast! I am really a big fan of Matte polishes, and therefore I can really recommend this color to all of you!
 



De tweede en laatste kleur die in deze post een plek krijgt is de gouden glitterlak No. 43 Girl's best friend. Ik moet wel bekennen dat die niet mijn favorieten kleur is. Ik dacht dat hij mijn nagels veel beter zou bedekken en dat het een op zichzelf staande lak zou kunnen zijn, maar op bovenstaande foto's kun je ook zien dat deze lak beter als topcoat gebruikt kan worden. Je ziet mijn natuurlijke nagels nog goed door de lak heen. En dat terwijl ik op de foto wel vier lagen van de lak heb aangebracht. Daarom besloot ik de nagellak ook nog te swatchen met de blauwe kleur als basis.
The second and final color that gets a place in this post is the golden glitter polish called No. 43 Girl's best friend. I must confess that it is not my favorites color. I thought this shade would cover my nails much better and that you could use this color as a base on itself, but on the pictures above you can see that this varnish can be better used as a topcoat. You can see my natural nails still very well through the paint. And I had to apply four coats to make this polish look presentable. So that's why I decided to also test this paint in combination with the blue color.

 

Hierboven kun je de kleur nog even zien in combo met de matte blauwe lak! Dit vindt ik wel mooi. hoewel de lak niet bedoeld is als topcoat, is hij daar wel veel geschikter voor. Hier komen de goud/groene details veel beter tot zijn recht, en krijgt de lak ook een lichte holografische glans. Hier vind ik hem wel weer mooi! Op de foto's hierboven heb ik twee lagen van de lak aangebracht. Deze combinatie vind ik erg bijzonder. Bedankt voor het lezen van dit artikel :)

Above you can how this topcoat looks in combination with the blue polish. This I think looks just so beautiful. Even though the lacquer is not intended as a topcoat, it is much more suitable to use in this way. You can see all of the golden en light green details, and the paint also gets a slight holographic undertone. I think that in this way the color looks so beautiful again. In the pictures above, I have applied two coats of paint. Hallo lieve lezers! Vandaag heb ik weer een nieuw artikel voor jullie. Ik kon vorige week flink inslaan op het gebied van nagellak, want de Kruidvat had een goede kortingsactie. Daarom had ik gewacht met het inslaan, zodat ik op de kosten zou kunnen besparen. En dat is goed gelukt! In de komende posts zullen jullie veel nieuwe lakjes voorbij zien komen. Vandaag begin ik met het reviewen van twee nieuwe kleuren van Essence. Essence heeft zijn hele Color & Go collectie vernieuwd en de lakken bevatten nu een speciale gel formule. De nagellak zou langer op je nagels blijven zitten en met een speciale base coat zou de nagellak nog meer opvallen. Ik ben heel benieuwd of deze lakken mijn verwachtingen waar zullen maken! (Kruidvat is a local drugstore in the Netherlands) That's why I had waited with buying all those new shades, I didn't want to spent a large amount of money. And that worked out! In the next posts you'll see lots of new polishes, that I'm going to swatch. Today I begin reviewing two new colors of Essence. Essence has renewed its entire Color & Go collection and the polishes now contain a special gel formula. The nail would stay longer on your nails and with a special base coat this nail polish would be even more noticeable. I am very whether these shades were going to meet my high expectations. Read on for an honest review and swatches of these colors ...
 
 
De eerste kleur die ik voor jullie review is No. 10 True Love. En ik moet eerlijk bekennen, deze kleur was ook echt liefde op het eerste gezicht. Deze paars/rode kleur is zo bijzonder! Ik heb zo'n soort kleur nog niet in mijn stash en vindt het heel leuk dat Essence een lakje heeft uitgebracht die niet standaard in elke collectie zit. Deze lak bedekte mijn nagels bovendien met maar een laag! Hij droogde egaal op, en ik had niet eens de speciale base coat nodig! De kleur knalt echt van mijn nagels af!
 
The first color that I'd love to review for you is No. 10 True Love. And I must confess, this color was really love at first sight. This purple / red color is so special! I haven't got any kind of color not in my stash that looks like this and I think it's very nice that Essence has released a polish which isn't a part in every budget collection. This varnish covered my nails but with just one layer! It dried evenly, and I did not even need a special base coat! The color really pops off my nails!
 

  
De tweede en laatse kleur die ik in dit artikel voor jullie test is No. 41 Kiss me, Freddy. Ik vindt de naam van deze lak echt heel grappig. De kleur van deze lak ziet er in de verpakking echt prachtig uit. Een heldere blauwe glitterlak! Deze kleur kun je bij heel veel andere merken ook krijgen, maar toch leuk dat Essence nu met een budget versie komt! Ik had helaas wel drie dunnen lagen nodig om mijn nagels te bedekken. De kleur ziet er op mijn nagels minder mooi uit dan ik verwacht had :( Dat is jammer, maar alsnog valt de lak me niet tegen. Wel altijd moeilijk om zo'n glitterkleur weer van je nagels af te krijgen! The second and last color I'd love to share in this article is No. 41 Kiss me, Freddy. I think the name of this varnish is just really funny. The color of the paint looks in the packaging really beautiful. A bright blue glitter polish! This color is also part of the collection from a lot of other brands, but still nice that Essence now comes with a budget version of this shade! Unfortunately, I did need to apply three thin layers to cover my nails. The color looks on my nails less beautiful than I expected. That's too bad, but this still doesn't disappoint me. But it's Always so hard to get some glitter color off your nails again! Thank you for reading this post :)

Pink/Yellow Spring Manicure!

 
Hoi allemaal, leuk dat jullie weer een kijkje op mijn blog genomen hebben :) Vandaag wil ik een nieuwe nail art met jullie delen. Deze manicure bevat 4 kleuren en is eigenlijk niet op iets zichtbaars geïnspireerd, maar doet me wel gelijk denken aan de lente. Als ik deze kleuren zie wordt ik gelijk weer helemaal vrolijk, en ik heb deze manicure de afgelopen week dan ook met veel plezier op mijn nagels gedragen! De gele kleuren horen natuurlijk helemaal bij de lente, maar ik vind dat ze ook heel goed bij de rode tinten passen :) In deze post vertel ik hoe ik deze nail art gemaakt heb, en welke lakjes ik daarvoor gebruikte. This manicure includes 4 colors and is not inspired by something visible, but it reminds me of the spring and upcoming summer season. When I see these colors I'm just becoming so happy again and that's why I loved wearing this manicure on my nails last week. Of course the Yellow Color is a classic shade to wear on your nails this spring, but I think they also fit in well with the red tones :) In this post I'll tell how I made this nail art, and which polishes I used to create this manicure. So read on for more pictures of this manicure, and an explanation on how to make it ....
 


Hierboven zie je de nail art die ik voor deze post gemaakt heb. Voor deze manicure heb ik vier verschillende nagellakken gebruikt en ik heb alle kleuren met een penseel op mijn nagels aangebracht. De gele tinten die je kunt zien zijn van Rimmel London uit de Rita Ora collectie. Ik heb de kleuren vorige week al voor jullie gereviewed. Als jullie meer over de kwaliteit willen weten kunnen jullie hier klikken om naar de post te gaan. De roze kleur is van MUA en heet Strawberry Crush. Maar ik heb ook een donkere roze kleur gebruikt. No. 210van Hema ziet er prachtig uit en maakt deze nail art helemaal af. Hieronder kun je lezen hoe ik deze manicure gemaakt heb.

Ik begon deze nail art door de roze en gele kleur op mijn nagels aan te brengen. Toen dit gedroogd was heb ik mijn nail art penselen opgezocht en besloot ik mijn nagels te omlijnen. Dit deed ik met een oranje en een rode kleur. Toen dit gedroogd was, wilde ik graag nog wat extra detail toevoegen en dat heb ik gedaan door halve cirkels op de bovenkant van mijn nagels aan te brengen. Deze heb ik niet ingevuld. Ik vind het resultaat van deze nail art goed geslaagd, zo zie je maar dat de meest simpele nail arts soms voor een heel mooi resultaat kunnen zorgen! De kleuren maken me helemaal vrolijk. I started making this nail art by applying the pink and yellow colors on my nails. When this had dried, I looked up my nail art brushes and I contour them all. I did this with an orange and red polish. When this had dried, I wanted to add some more detail and I have done that by making semi-circles on the top of my nails. Otherwise the nail art wouldn't be complet. I think the result of this nail art looks just great, so yeah you can see that you don't Always have to make a difficult manicure to be satisfied with the result :) The colors make me completely happy. COTM: Movie ~Vote for your favorite mani!

 
Hoi lieve lezers, vandaag is het weer tijd voor de op een na laatste COTM (Challenge of the month) In deze maandelijkse challenge delen ik en een aantal andere nail bloggers allemaal een nail art van hetzelfde thema met jouw. In maart was het thema Spring en deze maand bedachten wij een nail art rondom het coole thema Movie om met jullie te delen. Ik was weer heel erg verrast door alle nieuwe nail art creaties die mijn mede-bloggers hebben gemaakt! Met dit thema kun je werkelijk alle kanten op, er zijn heel veel verschillende soorten manicures die je bij dit thema zou kunnen bedenken, omdat er immers ook veel verschillende films zijn. Benieuwd naar het resultaat? Hello dear readers, today it's time for our COTM again! (Challenge of the month) In this monthly challenge me and some other nail art bloggers are going to create a brand new manicure around the same theme to share with you. Last month's theme was spring and everything that had to do with this season in general. But this month we wanted to share a lot of different Movie related nail arts with you. I was very surprised by all the different new nail art creations that my fellow bloggers came up with! There are really a lot of ways, to create a beautiful and simple movie nail art, because there are just so many different movie's you can watch :). Curious what the result will be? In this post you can find all the nail creations and of course my Movie design that I came up with for this monthly challenge. At the end of this post you are able to vote for your favorite manicure! Hierboven kunnen jullie de nail art zien die ik voor deze challenge bedacht heb. Het thema van deze maand was film, en ik kon niet wachten om een leuke manicure rondom dit thema te bedenken. Er zijn zoveel leuke films, en daarom kon ik eigenlijk geen keuze maken. Uiteindelijk besloot ik voor een iets algemenere invulling te gaan! Ik heb een filmrol op mijn nagels gemaakt ;) Ik kwam op internet een aantal nail arts met filmmachines tegen, en besloot hieraan mijn eigen draai te geven. Ik begon deze nail art met een witte basis en bracht hierop horizontale en verticale lijnen aan met een zwarte nagellak. Vervolgens bracht ik de overige details aan om mijn nagels op filmrollen te laten lijken. Ik houdt van de minimalistische manier van nail arts maken, omdat de foto's er daardoor super mooi en 'Clean' uitzien! Hieronder kun je alle movie nailarts van de anderen bewonderen!


Above, you can see the nail art that I've created for this challenge. The theme of this month was movie, and I could not wait to come up with a nice manicure for this new theme. There are so many great movies, so I couldn't actually make a choice. Finally I decided to go for a slightly more general interpretation! I made a movie strip on my nails;) I found some nail arts containing film machines when I took a look on the internet, and decided to give my own twist to one of those nail arts. I started this nail art with a white base and applied some horizontal and vertical lines with a black nail polish. Then I made the other details to make it look like my nails are real film roles. I love making the minimalist way of nail arts, because the pictures are so super nice and have a Clean look! Below you can admire all the movie nailarts from the others!

Maar ook de andere bloggers hebben deze maand weer een aantal mooie film nagelcreaties weten te maken. En ik ben weer super blij met het eindresultaat! Hoewel een aantal nail art ontwerpen wel in de lijn der verwachtingen lagen, vind ik het toch heel leuk om te zien dat iedereen toch zijn eigen draai aan de eigen nail art heeft gegeven. Ook heel gaaf om te zien dat je zoveel verschillende nagel creaties rondom hetzelfde thema kunt maken. Mijn favorieten deze maand zijn de Ice Age manicure van Jewel-nails, maar ook de nail art van de film up van Misslanghaar vind ik super. Ik ben benieuwd wat jullie favoriet deze maand is, en hieronder kun je zoals elke maand weer stemmen op de mooiste creatie!
 
But my fellow bloggers have also been very creative while making new movie manicures this month. And as always: I'm so surprised with the final result. Very cool to see that you can make so many different nail arts around the game theme. My favorites this month are the Ice Age manicure from Jewel-nails but I love the up manicure from Misslanghaar as well :) I love how my manicure turned out to be but I think the nail arts that the other bloggers made look really beautiful as well! I'm curious to hear what's your favorite manicure and below you can vote for the most beautiful creation!
