Hello everyone! Today I'd like to share a tag with you guys. There are a couple of things about my polishes that I wanted to tell you and I think this article is the right time to share them all with you. The Nail polish & Me tag is about everything that you didn't knew about my polish collection. I'll tell you more about my polishes but also about nail art and nail care in general. 1. How many polishes do you own?
Teveel om te tellen! Ik heb ongeveer 150+ nagellakken in mijn collectie.

To much to count! I have around 150+ polishes in my nail polish collection.

3. What is the most worn colour in your stash?
Mmm dat is geen moeilijke vraag! Ik heb veel zwarte en witte lakjes in mijn collectie. Ze vormen de perfecte basis voor alle nail arts en geen enkele manicure is compleet zonder zwart/witte details.

Well that's not a difficult question. I have a lot of white and black shades in my stash. They are the perfect base for every nail art creation and every manicure has some black or white details in it.

4. Are there any colours or other finishes that you don't have?

Eerlijk gezegd zijn er geen kleuren die ik niet heb maar er zijn wel een aantal nail art producten die ik graag nog wil uitproberen. Zoals de Velvet trend. Mua heeft deze zomer namelijk een aantal sets in zijn collectie opgenomen om zelf velvet nails at home te maken. Maar ik zou ook meer soorten nagelfolie willen uitproberen.

Honestly, there aren't but there are a couple of nail art products that I'd like to try soon! For example the velvet manicure. I'd love to buy the new velvet products from Mua some day. I'd also love to try more nail foils for this blog in the future.

5. Which polish do you wear on your nails the most?
Nr. 420 Aqua blue van Rimmel London is een van mijn favorieten! Jullie kunnen deze nagellak in de foto hierboven zien. Ik vind de lichtblauwe kleur van dit matte lakje echt prachtig. Deze lak bedekt al mijn nagels met een laag en droogt bovendien erg snel op.

Well, Nr. 420 aqua blue from Rimmel London is one of my favorite polishes. You can see this shade in the picture above. I love the light blue colour of this matte polish! I only need one coat to cover all my nails and this polish dryes also real quickly.

6. Which polish makes you wonder why you haven't trown it away yet?

Een van mijn oudere lakjes is een gele kleur van L’oreal genaamd Nr. 302 Exotic canaries. Deze kunnen jullie in de foto hierboven zien. Hoewel ik deze kleur een paar maanden geleden erg mooi vond heeft dit lakje zijn beste tijd inmiddels wel gehad. Ik vraag mezelf echt af waarom ik deze lak nog niet weggegooid heb !

One of my older polishes is this yellow shade from L’oreal called No. 302 exotic canariesthat you can see in the picture above. Although I loved this colour a couple of months ago, now I just hate the bright yellow colour of this polish and I’m asking myself again why I haven’t trowed it away yet !

7. Do you use a basecoat?
Ja natuurlijk! Ik gebruik altijd een basecoat om mijn natuurlijke nagels te beschermen. Op dit moment gebruik ik de Oxypower basecoat van Herome. Deze lak droogt erg snel op en is bovendien een geschikte basis voor french manicures.

Yes I’ll always use a basecoat to protect my natural nails. At this moment I’m using the Oxypower basecoat from Herome. I like how this base coat dryes real quick and it's also great as a base for all your natural french manicures!

8. Do you use a topcoat?
Niet altijd. Als ik nail arts voor mijn blog aan het maken ben is het soms juist niet handig om extra glans aan mijn nagels toe te voegen. Dat zie je namelijk terug op foto’s en dat zou gevolgen voor de kwaliteit van een artikel kunnen hebben. Maar als ik nail arts voor een feestje maak, of gewoon om te oefenen, dan gebruik ik altijd de Oxy power topcoat van Herome.

Not always. When I’m making my manicures for blog articles, it’s somethimes really botering me if my nails have a lot of shine because that's mostly the reason when my photos will look like crap. But when I’m making nail arts just to practise or for a party, I’ll always using the Oxy power topcoat from Herome.

9. Which technic do you like the most: stamping or freehand Nail arts?
Bijna al mijn nagel creaties zijn freehand nail arts. Ik vind het veel leuker om zelf inspiratie voor een nieuwe creatie te krijgen i.p.v afhankelijk te zijn van een paar stempeltjes. Maar ik blijf ook die techniek geweldig vinden!

Almost all my nail arts are made freehand. I just love the proces of creating my own nail arts instead of using some reagular stamping pattern. But I like both technics!

10. What kind of polish do you like the most: Sparkles/shimmer or a matte finish?
Ik hou het meest van matte nagellakken. Ik vind het geweldig om herkenbare dingen op mijn nagels te maken en glitter kan me dan nog wel eens afleiden. Ook is glitter nagellak met geen mogelijkheid van je nagels af te krijgen.

I do like matte finishes the most. I love to create regonizable thinks on my nails and sparkles somethimes distract me from the real subject of my manicure. And on top of that, nail polishes with sparkles are so hard to remove.

11. Do you ever feel weard without polish on your nails?

Ja natuurlijk! Ik denk altijd na over een volgende nagelcreatie die ik voor jullie wil maken. Inspiratie komt bij mij dan ook echt overal vandaan.

Yes I do! I’m always thinking about the next nail art that I’m going to create for you guys. I can get inspiration for a new manicure anytime, anywhere!

12. How many polishes have you bought last week?

Ik heb deze week nog geen lakjes gekocht, maar twee weken geleden wel! Toen ging ik naar de Kruidvat om de nieuwe nagellak collectie van Rimmel London in samenwerking met Rita Ora te kopen. Ik vind de 6 kleuren uit deze collectie echt prachtig en je kon een week geleden al een review van deze kleuren op mijn blog lezen.

I haven’t bought any polishes this week, but I have two weeks ago! I went to the local drugstore to pick up the new polish collection from Rimmel London in cooperation with Rita Ora. I love those 6 new shades and you could already read a review of them a week ago.

Geometric Nail art

Hallo allemaal! Vandaag wil ik weer een nail art met jullie delen. Hoewel ik alle trend posts van de afgelopen weken erg geslaagd vond (bedankt voor jullie lieve reacties) is het vandaag weer tijd voor een nieuwe nail art. Voor dit artikel heb ik me namelijk laten inspireren door de geometrische vormen, die nu echt een hype zijn bij de nagelstylisten. In dit artikel kunnen jullie mijn versie van de geometric nagels zien en ik vertel uiteraard hoe ik deze manicure gemaakt heb. Hello everyone! It has been almost a week sinds I last spoke to you guys, and today I have a grazy new manicure to share with you! Although I love writing trend posts (thank you so much for all your sweet comments) making nail arts is also one of my favorite things to work on. Geometric shapes are a huge trend for your nails and today I'd love to share my version of the geometric manicure with you. I hope you guys like it. De laatste tijd zie ik op blogs steeds meer nail arts met geometrische vormen voorbij komen, en ook op Pinterest kwam ik deze creaties veel tegen. Vandaar dat ik vandaag ook graag mijn eigen versie van de geometric trend met jullie wil delen. Als basis voor deze nagelcreatie heb ik een licht bruin lakje van Rimmel London gebruikt. Deze heet Nr. 367 Bare necessities. Hoewel je wel 2 laagjes van deze lak nodig hebt om je vingertoppen mooi te bedekken, ben ik erg tevreden met de kwaliteit van dit lakje. De lichtbruine kleur lijkt op mijn eigen huidskleur en hierdoor komt het geometrische patroon echt tot leven. Deze lak bleef trouwens 5 dagen op mijn nagels zitten!

I came across a lot of manicures with geometric shades on other blogs, and of corse on pinterest. That's the most important reason why I wanted to share my version of this trend with you. As a base for this geometric manicure, I used a light braun colour from Rimmel London called: No. 367 Bare necessities. Although you'll need two coats to cover all your nails, I love the quality of this polish. The light braun colour looks a little bit like my own skintone, so this beautiful nude base really makes this manicure stand out even more! And best of all, this polish stayed on my nails for 5 days.

Maar hoe heb ik deze nieuwe nagelcreatie gemaakt? Nadat ik mijn nagels met Bare necessities bruin had gelakt, begon ik met het toevoegen van de mintkleurige details op mijn nagels. Toen mijn nagels gedroogd waren begon ik met de zwarte omlijning. Hoewel het enige tijd koste om mijn nagels netjes af te werken was ik toch al erg tevreden met het resultaat. Als laatst voegde ik de overige zwarte lijnen toe. Ik gaf mijn nagels nog wat glans met mijn favoriete topcoat van herome. Ik hoop dat jullie deze nail art leuk vinden, fijn weekend!

But how did I create this manicure? After painting my nails with Bare necessities, I started adding the bright mint shade with my stripers. After my nails had dryed completly, I started with the black outlining of this new nail art design. Although it took some time to finish the frame, I was quite happy with the overal result of this manicure. Last I filled in the middle of my nails with all kind of different black stripes. I finished this nail art using a top coat of herome. I hope you guys like this new mani and I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

~Trend4Nails~ White & Embellishments

Trends komen en gaan. Vandaag wil ik weer een nieuwe trend met jullie delen, die zowel voor kleding als nagels een grote hit in de zomer van 2014 wordt. Embellished prints worden namelijk weer helemaal hot. We zullen in de zomermaanden veel witte kleding in combinatie met studs, glitters en andere versiersels terug zien. De New York fashion week was het middelpunt van alle glitter en glamour waar merken als Dolce & Gabanna maar ook Calvin Klein Ebellishments aan hun witte ontwerpen toevoegden. In dit artikel wil ik jullie vertellen hoe je deze trend in je everyday wardrobe kunt verwerken, en ik laat jullie ook weer een bijpassende nail art zien!

Hello! Today I’d like to share another trend post with you guys! Embellished Prints in combination with basic white colours are going to be a huge trend this summer and I thought it would be nice to tell you more about this fashionable style! This year we could see a lot of metallic and other embellished prints on the runway of the New York fashion week, where designers such as Dolce & Gabanna showed us their lattest spring outfits. Dit voorjaar konden we al veel Etnische en Afrikaanse prints voorbij zien komen, maar ook de Embellished trend is in volle gang. Basic witte outfits gecombineerd met zilveren en gouden studs, kristallen en andere versiersels waren het middelpunt van de New York Fashion week. Waar Vera Wang subtiele details aan haar kleding toevoegde, gingen merken als Dolce & Gabanna en Ralph Lauren helemaal los. Ook witte nagels in combinatie met zilveren en gouden details worden helemaal hot deze zomer.

This spring we could already spot a lot of etnical prints and other bright designs but the embellished trend is also going to be a big hit this summer! Basic white clothes in combination with golden studs, kristals or other embellishments such as bright stripes and dots were a real eye-catcher during the New york fashion week. Designers like Vera Wang added some subtl details to their collection but Dolce & Gabanna or Ralph Lauren hit it big on the runway. Basic white polishes in combination with some sparkle can also make your summer outfit complet.

Heel leuk natuurlijk zo’n nieuwe trend, maar hoe combineer je deze kleding? Ik heb zelf nogal een donkere en onopvallende stijl, maar ik denk wel dat ik deze trend in mijn kledingkast kan verwerken. Op de catwalk zagen we de trend immers ook vooral terug in subtielere details. Sjaals, riemen, sandalen maar ook de statement necklace vallen met deze trend meer op. Ook zien we veel witte tops in combinatie met een opvallende kraag. Kortom, rustige kleuren in combinatie met drukke prints & felle details doen het goed deze zomer.

But how do you combine this trend with your eveyday wardrobe? I have a dark and unnoted style myself, so I can completly understand that this trend is difficult to cooperate with your everyday clothes. During the fashion show of Dolce & Gabanna we saw both extremly detailed stuff and also more subtl items. Shiny coins were a motif throughout the collection, appearing on belts, sandals & earrings. You can also use a statement necklace to stand out even more! So, white shades in combination with bright details are going to be a hugh trend this summer.

De nail art van vandaag is zoals verwacht geinspireerd op deze trend. Op de catwalk droegen modellen dit seizoen veel witte basic lakken in combinatie met kristallen, subtiele stippen en andere opvallende details. Mijn nail art bestaat dan ook uit een witte basis met een accent print. De witte lak die ik gebruikt heb is uit de nieuwe collectie van Rimmel London. (Nr. 703 White hot love) Hier heb ik 2 weken geleden een review van op mijn blog geplaatst. Toen mijn nagels gedroogd waren heb ik verschillende opvallende details toegevoegd met mijn dottingtools. Ik hoop dat jullie deze nieuwe manicure geslaagd vinden!

From subtle Swarovski crystals to single stripes to bold polka dot patterns, a white base in combination with a accented pattern is going to be a must in 2014. Todays nail art also consists of a basic white polish in combination with a bright print. The white polish that I used for this manicure is called No. 703 White hot Love from Rimmel London. I’ve wrote a review of this polish two weeks ago. When my nails had dryed completly it was time to add the final details with some black and white dottingtools. I hope you guys like this manicure!

~Review~ Rita Ora by Rimmel London #2

Vorige week vertelde ik jullie al over de nieuwe zomercollectie van Rimmel London. Het merk brengt dit jaar 12 felle lakken uit, in samenwerking met Rita Ora. In het vorige artikel heb ik 3 koele tinten uit de nieuwe collectie voor jullie uitgetest en deze week wil ik 3 warme tinten uit de 60 Seconds Colour Rush Nailpolish collection by Rita Ora voor jullie swatchen. Omdat ik vorige weekblij verrast was met de kwaliteit van deze lakjes, ben ik benieuwd of de lakken die ik vandaag uittest mij nog beter gaan bevallen. Last week you could already read a lot about the new summer collection of Rimmel London on my blog. This season, the brand releases 12 bright polishes, in cooperation with Rita Ora. In my previous article you could read a review of three of the cool polishes from the 60 Seconds Colour Rush Nailpolish collection by Rita Ora but today I’d also like to try three of the warm shades for you guys! Last week I was really suprised with the quality of some of the polishes from this collection, so I’m very curious if the polishes that I’m going to swatch for you today, will also meet my expectations. Ik begon met dit roze lakje genaamd Nr. 323 Don’t be shy. De kleuren die ik vorige week voor jullie uitgetest heb bedekken mijn nagels allemaal in ongeveer twee lagen, maar deze lak overtrof mijn hoge verwachtingen. De nagellak bedekt mijn nagels met een dikke laag van de lak en ik vind de kleur alleen al erg bijzonder. In fel licht heeft deze donkerroze kleur bovendien een prachtige glans en I love the crème finish van dit lakje!

I started trying this dark pink polish called Nr. 323 Don’t be shy on my nails. The colours that I tryed last week, covered my nails with only two coats but this polish really managed to meet my expectations. The nail polish covers my nails with just one big layer of the polish and I think that the colour looks also really beautiful. In bright light this polish has a beautiful shine and I like the creme finish of this nail polish as well.

Het tweede lakje dat ik op mijn nagels probeerde heet Nr. 403 Oragasm. Hoewel de naam van deze lak niets te wensen overlaat, vind ik de kleur van dit lakje wel erg mooi. ;) De dekking valt echter tegen. Hoewel deze lak mijn nagels met twee dikke lagen bedekte, droogt hij minder snel op dan de andere lakjes. Ik vind deze felle oranje kleur wel erg geschikt voor de zomer!

The second polish that I tryed on my nails is called No. 403 Oragasm. Althought the name of this polish kind of shockes me, I do think the colour of this nail polish looks very pretty. But the coverage of this polish kind of disappoints me. I needed two big layers to cover my nails completly, and the polish dryes less quick comparing with the other nail polishes. I do think that the colour of this bright orange nail polish is really suitable to wear on your nails this summer!

Last but not least, deze donkerrode nagellak genaamd Nr. 303 Raw as night. Ik had op andere blogs al een aantal negatieve reviews van deze nagellak gelezen, maar eerlijk gezegt bevalt deze lak mij erg goed. De nagellak bedekte al mijn nagels met een laag en droogt bovendien snel op. Ook bleef deze lak ongeveer drie dagen mooi op mijn nagels zitten. Dat is langer dan de andere lakjes, die na twee dagen wel begonnen te chippen.

Last but not least, this dark red polish called No. 303 Raw as night. I red some negative reviews of this polish on other blogs but honesly, I don’t really understand why. This polish covers my nails with just one coat and dryes also real quick! This nail polish lasted three days on my nails and that is longer comparing with the other polishes that I swatched for you guys. Those stayed just two days on my nails before chipping.

13300 Pageviews! New logo + Dotting Manicure

Hoi allemaal! Vandaag een kleine blog update. Deze week heb ik namelijk de 12000 pageviews gehaald! En dat is erg belangrijk voor mij want, toen ik een paar maanden geleden met bloggen begon had ik nooit verwacht dat er iemand naar mijn nail arts zou kijken. Om dit aantal pageviews niet onopgemerkt voorbij te laten gaan staat vanaf vandaag mijn nieuwe logo online! Ook heb ik voor dit artikel een nieuwe nail art gemaakt, die ik graag met jullie wil delen. Zoals jullie kunnen zien staat vanaf vandaag mijn nieuwe logo online! Ondanks de 12000 pageviews die ik deze week gehaald heb, was ik al veel langer bezig met het ontwerpen van een nieuw logo! Hoewel ik nog een paar kleine aanpassingen aan de header ga doen, ben ik al erg tevreden met het resultaat. Vroeger had ik een logo dat bestond uit 3 afbeeldingen, maar dit heb ik verandert. Mijn nieuwe logo straalt meer rust uit en past bovendien beter bij mijn kleurrijke lay-out. Ik zit er echter nog wel over te denken om een afbeelding aan de rechterkant van de header te plaatsen. Ik ben super benieuwd wat jullie van dit nieuwe logo vinden!

So as you guys can see in this article, I’ve got a new logo for Creativenails4fun! Despite the fact that I have reached 12000 pageviews this week, I’ve been creating a new logo for a long time. Although I have some little alterations going on the header, I’m already pleased with the basic result of this new layout! I used to have a logo that consisted of three different photos, but this new header fits way better in my colourful layout. However, I’m still thinking that I could maybe place an image of my nails or something else on the right side of the header. I’m not sure yet... But I’m so curious what you guys think of this new logo!

Dan nu over de nail art van vandaag! Voor deze nieuwe manicure heb ik twee verschillende lakjes gebruikt. De bruine nagellak is van Essence en heet Nr. 155 Red ahead. Ik heb ook een fris blauw lakje van Maybelline (Nr. 651 Cool Blue) gebruikt. Nadat ik mijn nagels afwisselend blauw of donker bruin had gelakt heb ik de details toegevoegd met mijn dottingtools en een paar penselen. Door de stippen recht onder elkaar te plaatsen ontstond een mooi effect op mijn nagels. Ik eindige deze nail art met een van mijn favoriete top coats!

I've also created a new manicure for you guys! This nail art consists of a combination of two different polishes! I've used a dark braun polish from Essence called No. 155 red ahead. I've also used a light blue polish from Maybelline called No. 651 cool blue. To create this design I first painted my nails with the braun or blue colour and then I added the dots with my dottingtool. I've also used some stripers to finish of all the other little details on my nails!

~Review~ Rita Ora by Rimmel London #1

Rimmel London komt deze lente met een geheel nieuwe collectie bestaande uit 12 nagellakjes. Zes van deze lakjes zijn koele kleuren en zes warme tinten. Dit alles in samenwerking met Rita Ora. In deze collectie kunnen we dus veel knallende zomerkleuren verwachten en ik ben benieuwd hoe ze mij gaan bevallen! In de komende artikelen ga ik de 6 mooiste lakjes uit de nieuwe 60 Seconds Colour Rush Nailpolish collection by Rita Ora voor jullie uittesten. Rimmel London has released a brand new spring collection that consists of 12 nail polishes! Six of these are cool shades and the brand has also released six warm tones. This spring collection consists of a number of beautiful bright polishes, which are perfect for spring and summer. The 60 Secons Colour Rush Nailpolish collection has been created in collaboration with Rita Ora. I was very curious if these polishes were going to meet my expectations. Het eerst lakje dat ik op mijn nagels uitprobeerde heet Nr. 613 Midnight rendezvous. De namen van deze nagellakjes zijn door Rita Ora zelf verzonnen en ik vind dat ze erg goed bij de kleuren van de lakjes passen. Deze donker paarse nagellak bedekt mijn nagels met 2 laagjes en droogt bovendien erg snel op! Binnen twee minuten waren mijn nagels gedroogd en ze hadden een mooie gladde finish.

The first polish that I tryed on my nails is called Nr. 613 Midnight rendezvous. The names of these polishes are also conceived by Rita Ora herself and I love how they match with the colours of these nail polishes. This dark purple polish covers my nails with two layers of the polish and dryes really quickly. Within two minutes, my nails were dryed completly and they had a very smooth finish!

Maar zouden de overige lakjes me net zo goed bevallen? Het tweede lakje dat ik op mijn nagels uitprobeerde heet Nr. 703 White hot love. De dekking van dit witte lakje viel best wel tegen. Ik had 3 dunne laagjes van de lak nodig om mijn nagels goed te bedekken. Maar eenmaal opgedroogd zag deze nagellak er goed uit. Wel zag ik dat het lakje niet 100% wit is. In fel licht heeft deze nagellak een lichte gouden ondertoon, maar dat vind ik juist wel bijzonder!

But was I also going to like the other polishes? The second nail polish that I tryed on my nails is called Nr. 703 white hot love. The coverage of this polish is a little bit dissapointing. I needed three thin layers to cover all my nails. But once my nails had dryed, I was really happy with the final result. In bright light, this polish has a very light golden shimmer, but I do think that the colour of this polish looks beautiful on my nails!

Het laatste lakje dat ik op mijn nagels uitprobeerde heet Nr. 823 Blindfold me Blue. Dit is mijn absolute favoriet! Deze nagellak bedekt mijn nagels met 1 laag van de lak en droogt bovendien heel snel op. Wel ziet de nagellak er op je nagels veel feller uit dan je zou verwachten. Mijn uiteindelijke mening? Tot nu toe bevallen de lakjes uit de Rita Ora collectie me erg goed. De dekking van de donkere lakken is beter dan die van het witte lakje, maar ze drogen allemaal binnen 3 minuten op! Het enige nadeel? Ik heb deze lakjes inmiddels wat langer op mijn nagels uitgeprobeert en na 3 dagen beginnen ze al te chippen!

The last polish that I tryed on my nails is called No. 823 blindfold me blue. I love this one! This polish covers all your nails with just one layer of the nail polish. It dryes also really quickly. Although the colour of this polish looks much brighter on your nails comparing with the bottle, I do like the smooth finish of this polish. My final opinion? Until now I'm very pleased with the quality of these polishes. The coverage of the darker shades is better than the light colour but all these polishes dry real quick. It took just 3 minutes! The only disadventage? I've tryed these polishes a little bit longer now and after just three days they were already chipping!
