Hello dear readers, today it's time for our COTM again! (Challenge of the month) In this monthly challenge me and some other nail art bloggers are going to create a brand new manicure around the same theme to share with you. This month's theme is Valentine and everything that has to do with love in general. I was very surprised by all the new nail art creations that my fellow bloggers came up with! Little hearts are always so cute on your nails but I was also really surprised with the other creations. Curious what the result will be? Zoals hierboven beschreven was het thema van deze maand Valentijn. En hoe kan het ook anders, de 14e is het weer zover. Hoewel dit feest in Nederland de afgelopen jaren nog niet helemaal in zijn ban had, vond ik het toch leuk om deze maand weer mijn best te doen op een nieuwe manicure. Het leuke aan je nagels is dat je ze voor elke gelegenheid anders kunt lakken. Vandaag heb ik deze hartjes creatie voor jullie! Ik begon deze nail art door mijn nagels om en om roze en blauw te lakken. Het maakt hier in principe niet uit welke kleuren je gebruikt, maar wel geld: hoe feller hoe opvallender :) Vervolgens heb ik mijn nagels nog in twee delen verdeeld door een verticale lijn en rechts van die lijn heb ik nog extra lak van de tegengestelde kleur toegevoegd. Vervolgens begon ik aan de contouren van de hartjes die ik invulde met de blauwe en roze kleur. Een topcoat moest het geheel een mooie glans geven. Hoewel het moeilijk was om deze nail art te fotograferen hoop ik dat jullie toch een goede indruk van deze manicure kunnen krijgen.
As described above, Valentine was the theme of this month's challenge. And how could it be anything else, the 14th is approaching fast. Although this is a festive occasion it wasn't really that popular in the Netherlands the past years, I thought it was still fun to do my best on a new manicure this month. The nice thing about nails is that you can polish them inspired on every occasion. Today I have made this Valentine nail art for you! I started this nail art by painting two of my nails blue and two of my fingertips pink. It doesn't matter which colors you use here but I have to say: the brighter the more noticeable this nail art will be :) After my nails had dried I painted them half with the opposite color and divided my nails in two using a vertical line. Then I started with the contouring of the heart shape on my nails. In the end I used a topcoat to give my nails some extra shine! Although it was difficult to photograph this nail art, I hope you can still get a good impression of this manicure.
Maar ook de andere bloggers hebben deze maand weer een aantal mooie valentine nagelcreaties gemaakt. En ik ben weer super blij met het eindresultaat! Heel gaaf om te zien dat je zoveel verschillende nagel creaties rondom hetzelfde thema kunt maken. Mijn favorieten deze maand zijn de gedetailleerde manicure van Brilliantnails maar de creatie van Lovely Lonnie vind ik ook weer super mooi. Ik ben benieuwd wat jullie favoriet deze maand is, en hieronder kun je zoals elke maand weer stemmen op de mooiste creatie!
But my fellow bloggers have also been very creative while making new Valentine manicures this month. And as always: I'm so surprised with the final result. Very cool to see that you can make so many different nail arts around the same theme. My favorites this month are the detailed manicure from Brilliant nails but I love the creation from Lovely Lonnie as well.
