De manicure zelf stelt niet veel meer voor dan een zigzag & chevron patroon op de nagels, maar door deze te combineren met een huidkleurige nagellak kun je een mooi en apart effect op je nagels creëren. De Shark bite manicure, na wat research kwam ik erachter dat deze nail art vooral in 2013 erg populair was. De eerste nagelstyliste die een ontwerp bedacht dat leek op afgebrokkelde nagels is Kristina Eastbrooks. Voor de modeshow van 'The Blonds' ontwierp zij een zwart/witte nail art met een apart chevron patroon. Ze speelde hiermee goed in op de trends want zoals jullie zien heeft deze manicure inmiddels al op de cover van de Harper’s Bazar gestaan. De nail art was het middelpunt van de New York Fashion week en Eastbrooks ontwierp deze manicure doormiddel van een witte achtergrond en een zwarte nepnagel die in een zigzag patroon afgeknipt was. Daarna plaatste ze deze zwarte nepnagel over de natuurlijke nagel heen. Hoewel deze nail art ontworpen is in 2013, wordt hij ook in 2014 een grote hit!
The Shark bite manicure, after some research I discovered that this nail art was a trending topic in 2013! The first nail stylist who designed this manicure was Kristina Eastbrooks. She thought of a black and white manicure for the fashion show of the blonds during the NY fashion week in 2013. She discovered this chevron pattern that can create the suggestion of shark bites on your nails. She played along with the trends of the season and famous fashion magazines like Harper’s Bazar have already put her manicure on the cover! This nail art was the center of attention during the New York fashion week and and she made this mani by combining a white background and a black fake nail with each other. Although this nail art was originally made back in 2013, this manicure will also be a hugh trend the upcoming season.
Voor dit artikel wilde ik ook mijn eigen versie van de Shark bite manicure met jullie delen. Ik begon met een nude kleurige nagellak van Rimmel London genaamd Nr. 367 Bare Necessities en daarmee lakte ik al mijn nagels. Toen mijn nagels gedroogd waren besloot ik de Shark bites te maken door gebruik te maken van een witte nagellak van Sinful Colors en mijn stripers. Van deze nagellak konden jullie al een uitgebreide review lezen in mijn vorige post. Ik heb suggestie van haaien bijten gecreeerd door een wit chevron patroon op mijn nagels te maken. Als laatst heb ik twee schattige haaien op mijn nagels gemaakt door een donkere blauwe nagellak en mijn stripers te gebruiken. Ik hoop dat jullie deze nieuwe nail art leuk vinden!
For this article I also wanted to create a version of the Shark bite manicure myself. I started of using a nude polish from Rimmel London called No. 367 Bare Necessities to cover all my nails. After my nails had dryed completely ,I decided to create the shark bites using a white polish from Sinful Colors and my stripers. You could already read a review of this white shade in my previous post. I made the suggestion of Shark bites creating a chevron pattern all over my nails. Last of I made some cute little sharks using a dark blue polish and my stripers. I hope you guys like this new manicure!
