Hallo allemaal! Het zal jullie vast niet ontgaan zijn, vandaag begint het WK dan eindelijk officieel. Natuurlijk staan we allemaal als ware oranje fans achter ons team. Dat neemt niet weg dat de juichpakken, petten, poncho's en alle andere producten die onderdeel zijn van slimme marketingstunts me zoals ieder WK weer de keel uit beginnen te hangen. Deze week wil ik graag een op het WK geinspireerde nail art met jullie delen, maar omdat het hele land inmiddels al volop oranje is gekleurd leek een nail art geinspireerd op Brazilië me iets origineler. Zo gezegt zo gedaan, in dit artikel wil ik een nieuwe manicure, geinspireerd op de Braziliaanse vlag met jullie delen. Of course I'll stand behind my team, as a truly dutch fan but that doesn't mean that the hats, flags, ponchos, and other products that are part of clever marketing stunts aren't irritating me! This week I'd like to share a World Cup inspired nail art with you and because of all the orange supportors, I thought it was more interesting to show you a manicure that consists of some more original colours. So I desided to come up with a new manicure inspired on the flag of Brazil. In this post I'm going to tell you more about the polishes that I used for this design and I would also love to tell you how I created this manicure. Zoals jullie vast al doorhadden is de nail art van vandaag dus niet geinspireerd op Nederland maar juist op Brazilië! Ik bekeek de Braziliaanse vlag en bedacht dat ik hier mijn eigen twist aan kon geven, om zo een nieuwe manicure te creëren. Door de nadruk op de uiteinden van mijn nagels te leggen, krijgt deze nail art het uiterlijk van een French manicure en lijken mijn nagels bovendien langer. Maar welke lakjes heb ik voor deze creatie gebruikt? Voor de donkergroene lak heb ik gebruik gemaakt van een nagellak genaamd Jade is the new black van OPI. Het lakje bedekt mijn nagels echt fantastisch en is dus de perfecte basis voor deze nail art. Voor de neon gele details heb ik een budget lakje van een merk genaamd Casuelle gebruikt. Zoals jullie in de tutorial hieronder kunnen zien heb ik eerst een laag witte nagellak aangebracht om de neon kleur op mijn nagels nog meer op te laten vallen. Verder heb ik nog een basic blauwe en witte nagellak gebruikt en natuurlijk mijn stripers. Hieronder kunnen jullie een uitgebreide tutorial van deze nail art bekijken:
As you could already read in this post, todays nail art isn't inspired on the Netherlands, but on Brazil. I looked at the flag of Brazil and thought of giving my own twist to it, so that I could create a brand new and more original manicure for you guys. By pointing out the tips of your nails, you can create a French manicure inspired design and your nails will also look a lot longer. But which polishes have I used for this nail art creation? The dark green polish that I used as a background for this manicure is from OPI and is called Jade is the new black. This nail polish covers my nails with only two coats and is therefore the perfect base for all your nail arts. For the neon yellow details, I used a budget polish from a brand called Casuelle. As you can see in the tutorial below, I first painted the contours of this design using a white striper to let the neon shade stand out even more.
